* CriticalResearchFailure: In "Costumes & Courage", they at least get the most basic fact about Charles Lindbergh right - but then veer right into "so wrong it's ''bizarre'' they even thought they could get away with this" territory by mentioning that he invented the artificial heart. A five-minute trip to ThatOtherWiki would've shown otherwise.

* BrokenAesop: Considering how often Trish is mean to others (for Dez though, [[JerkassHasAPoint it's not entirely]] [[TheDitz without reason]]), the main aesop in ''Beauties and Bullies'' fall a bit flat.

* CrossoverShip: Since the ''All Star New Year'' special it's become popular to ship Jessie and Austin (even though she has to be several years older than him).

* FanPreferredCouple: The pairing is in the title. This pairing is so popular that Creator/RossLynch and Creator/LauraMarano, the actors themselves, ships it as well. It finally comes to fruition in "Partners & Parachutes", unfortunately, by "Couples & Careers", it didn't end well but many fans feel that canonizing the couple has [[ShippingBedDeath effectively destroyed any interest in it]]. Luckily they are now back up by "Last Dances and Last Chances", and even confirmed in Records and Wrecking Balls.
** [[ActorShipping Many fans feel this way between Ross Lynch and Laura Marano as well.]]

** [[spoiler: In Relationships & Red Carpets, the scene where Ally tells Austin that she thinks they might not be "meant to be", and Austin tearfully cradles her face and ''begs'' her not to leave him. Ross Lynch gets mad props for his acting here; the crack in his voice on the line "I don't want to lose you again." is positively heart-wrenching]]

*** TakeThatScrappy: The imagined universe where she became a superstar in Austin's place has her act even more selfish than normal - this causes her fans and almost everyone around her to disown her.

* TheWoobie: You can't help but feel sorry for Austin in the first two episodes of Season 4, because he still can't make music. This is also a case of a gender-inverted FallenPrincess.
** Then comes "Karaoke and Kalamity". [[spoiler:In desperation to feel the thrill of performing again, Austin's been disguising himself and performing at a karaoke joint. Jimmy Starr comes to the place, revealing himself as a guest judge for a competition at the place. He also tells Trish that he's considering letting Austin perform in public again. It all seems to be going well, but then Austin's fake beard gets knocked off due to an accident, after which Jimmy tells Austin that he can forget about public performances. ''Yes'', Austin disobeyed Jimmy, and ''yes'' he should be lucky Jimmy's not taking legal action, but it still feels like Austin was robbed of his chance to perform again.]]

* LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt: The idea that Austin would [[spoiler:permanently lose his voice]] in "Successes & Setbacks" was never believable, since that would have reduced the show's premise to a big pile of rubble.

Added DiffLines:

** Promos of the series finale teased us with Austin proposing to Ally. Yes, it is the finale, but this is hardly believable, because 1). They're too young and 2). [[Series/ShakeItUp Disney has been]] [[Series/{{Jessie}} down that road before]]. [[spoiler:It turned out to be a joke made by Dez during the epilogue]].

* AwardSnub: Averted, because of Ross' 3 time wins of Kids Choice Awards Favorite TV Actor in 2013, 2014 & 2015. Austin & Ally made a clean sweep in 2015 winning Favorite TV Show, Favorite TV Actor (Ross Lynch) and Favorite TV Actress (Laura Marano). The show's first KCA win was also its first KCA nomination, also during its final season (in the previous few years the Disney Channel shows routinely nominated were Jessie and Good Luck Charlie).
