** This was the general reaction to his reviews of films by Creator/SonyPicturesAnimation, most notably ''WesternAnimation/HotelTransylvania'' and ''WesternAnimation/CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballs2''. Many people thought he was too hard on these films, particularly on the subject of their animation. It doesn't help that he not only hates those films but also goes out of his way to [[FanHater look down upon people who like it and say that people who like it should rethink their lives]]. It got to the point where he did a separate video explaining his thoughts on the animation of ''Hotel Transylvania'' more in depth, [[SelfDeprecation and was even able to make fun of himself by drawing a picture of Dracula strangling him for not liking the movie.]]
** While he didn't call them bad films, his reviews of the first ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'', ''WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity'', ''Anime/MyNeighborTotoro'', and ''{{WesternAnimation/The Little Prince|2015}}'' were pretty controversial. To make matters worse with his ''Totoro'' review, this was the first ever review of his [=AniMat=]'s Classic Reviews series.
** In his review for ''Anime/ProfessorLaytonAndTheEternalDiva'', he points out that the only problem he had with the animation was that the character designs were rather chibi-styled instead of the traditional anime-style. This critique was not received kindly by ''Professor Layton'' fans.
** A lot of people did not take kindly to him calling ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitch2StitchHasAGlitch'' one of the worst Creator/{{Disney}} sequels.
** To say his review of the ''VideoGame/{{Medabots}}'' anime where he gave it the Seal of Garbage didn't get a very high reputation is the understatement of the century.

** In his review of ''WesternAnimation/SurfsUp'', he states that Creator/SonyPicturesAnimation should look back at it and realize why they've fallen so hard. While saying this, he says that the movie doesn't really need a sequel. Shortly after his review, Sony actually announced a sequel to ''Surf's Up''...with Wrestling/{{WWE}} WRESTLERS. [[{{Sequelitis}} It was also deemed inferior to the original film.]]
