** James Bond in the reboot often catches a lot of flak from M and [=MI6=] for using his License to Kill a little too liberally. In ''Film/CasinoRoyale2006'', he is nearly suspended for the unnecessary killing of a terrorist in a foreign embassy (or more accurately, being caught on tape doing it). In ''Film/QuantumOfSolace'', M nearly arrests Bond when his reckless actions results in the death of [[spoiler:Mathis]] and another [=MI6=] agent, Agent Fields.
** Vesper Lynd also asks Bond at one point if he was ever disturbed by the fact he'd had to kill a number of people to complete his mission. Earlier, Bond comforts her when she is greatly disturbed following the brutal killing of a warlord and his minions by Bond.

* In ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'', it's revealed just before the final fight that Steve knew (for over two years) that Hydra was responsible for [[spoiler: the murder of Tony's parents, had every reason to think that the Winter Soldier was the triggerman]], and ''never'' told him about it. This is a huge lie of omission on Steve's part and Tony views it as a devastating betrayal to their friendship, especially since he had to find out about it through a graphic video of his parents being [[spoiler: beaten and strangled to death]] by Bucky, who is standing right in front of him.

* In ''Film/FortyGuns'', Griff refuses to help when Marshal Chisolm (supposedly an old friend) asks for aid in standing up to TheGunfighterWannbe Brockie Drummond: instead suggesting that he leave town. Several characters call Griff out about this, but he never provides a satisfactory explanation for his decision. Even after Chisolm is shot, Griff only gets involved after his brother Wes goes to defend the townsfolk from Brockie's cronies who are shooting up the town.
