You'd Expect: If Verne wants to make a good point about RJ, he could point out the numerous times RJ's put them in danger whilst never taking risks himself. He did it with Hammy, and it got Hammy pepper sprayed and hit by some girl scouts, if Ozzie was a bit off, he could've been killed by the car he played dead in front of, and he can even bring up how he didn't even bother warning Verne about the dog in the backyard. Essentially, there were several good points RJ made about using the family for ulterior motives, especially considering RJ wasn't directly putting himself in the line of danger.\\

** Almost immediately after, when RJ reveals that the food was destroyed because of Verne, the gang rally on him, pointing out that they worked for that food. Verne on the other hand was only taking the food back for the protection of the family, and because he still doesn't trust RJ.\\

Instead: Verne continues to say he's got a bad feeling about RJ without explaining why and only referring to his "tail tingling", and eventually snaps by calling the family stupid and naive for trusting him.\\
The Result: The gang get upset at him, with Hammy taking the most offense to this, and Verne is left to have his own JerkassRealization. This also causes him to fully trust RJ despite being completely right about him, while RJ himself starts to have even more regrets about his manipulation of the family.

You'd Also Expect: That the Mirror would keep trying to warn him.\\
Instead: Farquaad dismisses the Mirror's warnings that Fiona turns into an ogre at night, and the spell can only be broken with true love. During this time, he waits for Shrek to return, and the Mirror either can't or doesn't warn him.

** As part of the plan to manipulate the family, RJ decides to take them all out on a trip to see the neighborhood and get stuff from the trash as a sort of preview.\\
You'd Expect: That while outside, RJ put as much effort into describing what to do in the case of a human notices them. As seen by Verne's initial interactions with humans, the only thing the animals know about the humans is that they're violent, and while RJ does make the note that the only reason Verne had a bad time was because he didn't have a guide, that doesn't change the fact that Verne did not have a good time and is worried about the same thing happening to his family. Plus, anyone being lost as a result of this could result in the family members not trusting RJ entirely, something RJ cannot afford whatsoever.\\

Justified: Snow White was still inside the dwarves' cottage when they were exiled, to the point of them bringing her to the swamp still inside her glass coffin. Any knights sent to retrieve her would be facing the entire fairy tale population in order to get her back, and since this was less than a week after the resettlement, you can bet they would have been fighting to the death not to let that happen.

Justifying Edit / Conversation In The Main Page. Just rewrite or remove the example if you think it's off.

Justified: The Magic Mirror was previously threatened with execution just for stating that Farquaad was not technically a king, would you have had the balls to still warn him about potentially marrying a (half-) ogre?

Instead: RJ, upon being asked this, simply tells everyone that in the case of a human noticing them, to lick their privates, saying that the humans love that.\\
The Result: Once Gladys discovers the animals outside her patio and the family try doing it, it obviously doesn't work, forcing RJ to tell the others to ditch the plan and run. While no one is injured or even killed, this does reaffirm Verne's belief in the neighborhood being dangerous and now has less of a reason to trust RJ. Fortunately for RJ, he does manage to capitalize on seeing the family struggling to adapt with little food, and from then on, it's a breeze, although Verne is still extremely wary of him.

In Fact: Multiple characters could have easily avoided resettlement by keeping their mouths shut (the Three Bears, Three Little Pigs, Big Bad Wolf, Three Blind Mice, etc.) or by other simple means (The Pied Piper needed only toss his pipe into the forest, the Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe and her children could have found a nearby InnThis movie depicts them as roughly the same size as the elves/dwarves/gnomes and probably only slightly shorter than Farquaad himself, so abnormal shortness is a non-issue here, wizards and witches could have disrobed and junked all their wands and potions, and so forth), but somehow none of them thought of doing any of this.

*** Lord Farquadd has signed an edict forcibly evicting all fairy tale beings out of DuLoc with a bounty being awarded for their capture, as part of his plans to "perfect" his lands through (non-fatal) ethnic cleansing.\\
You'd Expect: Everyone affected to run for cover as soon as possible, especially since most of DuLoc's human inhabitants are seemingly in favor of the idea (Case in point: The given rewards are generally pitiful, usually 20 pieces or less, and yet this was enough to justify Geppetto selling out Pinocchio!).\\
