* BrokenBird: Robot Jones goes through this many times in the series, with all the ENORMOUS amount of pain he endured in his life. From his own crush whom [[AllergicToLove methane apparently prevented him from having his chance]] reject him EVERY time, is bullied by two kids, has very little friends who look up to him, is very easily nervous, and humans constantly pick on him.

* CorruptTheCutie: Robot is adorable, but he has had a EXTREMELY harsh life, was always misunderstood and picked on by even his idols, and had excessive HeroicBSOD.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Poor Robot had the worst life anybody could ever live. And WordOfGod says the final episode was intended to be about him conquering the world as revenge for what humans put him through.

Added DiffLines:

* AllergicToLove: In "Embarrassment", he had a tendency to unleash enormous amounts of methane whenever he tried to ask his crush to a dance.

*** Turns out the reason why Principal Madman resembles Hitler is because according to Greg Miller, Principal Madman was created with the intent of being voiced by Les Lye from "You Can't Do that on Televison" as he has played a teacher named "Mr. Schidtler" who also happens to resemble Hitler. However it couldn't be done since Les Lye lives in Canada.

* {{BrokenAesop}}s and {{FamilyUnfriendlyAesop}}s can appear as a result too, e.g. by the end of "Work" Robot concludes "work is for suckers" despite the fact that work is what got him the money he needed to begin with.

The show had [[NetworkRedHeadedStepchild little network support]] and no commercial appeal. Aired from 2002 to 2003, with only 13 episodes. It should be noted it was one of the finalists in the the "Big Pick" event in 2002 where viewers were allowed to pick the next show. It lost out to ''WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy'' (back when it was paired with the ''Evil Con Carne'' cartoons and referred to as ''Grim and Evil''), which got picked and lasted longer than this show.

* DerangedAnimation: A mild example. The pilot episode looks like rough sketches turned into animation. The show itself looks like the people behind ''SchoolhouseRock'' decided to make a cartoon series that was more about learning social interaction rather than history, grammar, and multiplication.
