** That basically stems from the fact that humans were usually the antagonists in most of the Looney Tunes shorts as well. When Bugs and Daffy weren't at each others' throats, it was either Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, or some other guy.

A revival of sorts for the LooneyTunes style of comedy, using teenage Toons highly Expy reminiscent of several classic characters. But rather than pure rip-offs, they were actually being taught in school by the originals on being funny and the finer parts of Cartoon Physics and being a Toon. This continues the proud tradition of WarnerBrothers Animation having a heavy dose of meta-humor, shtick and LampshadeHanging of many cartoon tropes, but this also incorporated themes of teen adolescence, Aesops, and nineties sensibilities. It was executive produced by StevenSpielberg, who, along with Showrunner fellow executive Tom Ruegger, thought the Looney Tunes style was due for a make-over on television after the success of WhoFramedRogerRabbit. TTA started the Silver Age of Warner Brothers cartoons, resulting in similar shows that shared many of the same tropes and were produced in much the same way (writing, storyboards, key animation and voice work done in the US, inbetweening done by Asian studios (TMS excluded, as TMS did most of the work them selfs, yet the studio's staff is uncredited), StevenSpielberg as executive producer). It was also one of the first shows to contribute to the '90s animation boom, following TheSimpsons by less than a year.

TMS only shiped off a few episodes to other studios, TMS did most of their episodes inhouse.

** All episodes were different looking due to multiple companies being used (to say nothing about the studios used in several of TMS' and all of Kennedy's work; including MookDLE [for the former], Fil-Cartoons and even Wang [for the latter]). And JonMcClenahan stated that being on model was StarToons's weakness. That didn't make it worse though.
