* DestructiveSavior: Whenever the girls go "save the day," their fights with the bad guys and monsters often end up leveling quite a few buildings in Townsville. Taken UpToEleven in the debut episode of the Dynamo HumongousMecha; they caused such a great deal of damage to the city in the process of stopping the monster that the Mayor and the rest of the citizens ordered them never to use the Dynamo again.
* DidntSeeThatComing: In the episode "Sweet n Sour", three cute animals - a puppy, kitten, and rabbit - are brainwashing the whole city of Townsville, except for the girls, of course, with their obviously cute faces, thus also causing a backlash on the girls due to their doubts on the animals. However, when they walk into a building which they think is a bank, they find it's a school filled with children who love the animals to near-death, thus delivering the message of how too much of something isn't always good. Of course, after the children leave, it is revealed that their receiving too much love was set up by the girls.
* DidntThinkThisThrough:
** In the episode "Bought and Scold", Princess Morbucks takes over as Mayor of Townsville and passes a law legalizing crime, [[EvilPlan just so she could put the girls out of business]]. However, she apparently didn't realize that with crime being legal, she herself could be robbed as well, which is obviously one of the reasons why the girls thought of the idea of robbing her blind.
** Also, in the episode "Birthday Bash", the Amoeba Boys send the girls voodoo dolls of the girls themselves without realizing that they were supposed to keep the dolls in order to make them work.
** Mojo Jojo's first attack involved turning the world and the girls into dogs. He was beaten when Buttercup ran up the platform bit him in the behind. In another episode, he does almost the same thing, then he plays a video recording of the first event to the girls and explains that he won't turn them into dogs this time, and he installed butt armor to prevent getting bitten again. Mojo got so wrapped up on how he was beaten previously he forgot to disable or weaken the girls this time and they beat him up as usual.
*** In fact, this is actually Mojo's signature flaw when it comes to planning all of his schemes. To a point where the girls would even rule him out of a robbery since it was too well thought-out.
* DisappointedByTheMotive: In "Just Desserts", a follow-up to the episode, "Supper Villain", Mrs. Smith and her children join her husband in helping him eliminate the Powerpuff Girls, following his release from prison. After the girls defeat them in a showdown, Mrs. Smith explains that her motive for wanting to destroy the girls was not really because they drove her husband insane or sent him to prison, but because they ruined her dinner. As the girls point out, that's not a good reason for wanting revenge on them at all.

And when the Professor offers to become Dick's slave and make Chemical X for the rest of his life in exchange for the girls' safety, Dick laughs at him and says that he'll destroy the girls ''and'' keep the Professor as a slave.

In the end, the girls follow Mojo and prevent him from killing young Utonium, in the process revealing themselves to the nearly unconscious boy. This was the moment that motivated him to become a professor and indulge in science, in an effort to create what he saw that day. Because of this chain of events, Mojo ends up being pivotal in the creation of The Powerpuff Girls once more, before the actual accident that spawned them.
* StartOfDarkness: Mojo Jojo's origin, as revealed in "[[Music/TheDoors Mr. Mojo's Rising]]" and TheMovie.

In the end, [[ToWinWithoutFighting Bubbles simply asks nicely]] for him not to destroy their beloved city. [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe The giant monster promptly leaves, returning to the ocean]].
* TeamRocketWins: The Amoeba Boys' goal is to be beaten by the Powerpuff Girls and to be recognized as Townsville's worst criminals, but they have no chance of this happening because they are too stupid to think of anything other than misdemeanors and the Powerpuff Girls don't usually bother to fight them because of their incompetence. However, some episodes end with them inadvertently causing a serious danger to Townsville and being beaten up by the girls, which was what they wanted all along.
* TearJerker: InUniverse. The only episode with Bunny left even the narrator crying at the end.
* TeensAreMonsters:
** Two episodes featured the Smith family, one member of which was their angry teen son Bud. The first episode, Bud's entire appearance consisted of him yelling something typically teenagerish at his father, such as "I hate you!" and "No one understands me!" The second episode, which features the entire family as villains, provides every member of the family with a motivation for why they hate the Powerpuff Girls - and Bud's is "You know what? I hate ''everything!''"
** Also, the Gangreen Gang. ''Literally''.
* TeethFlying: Bad guys' teeth go flying in the opening sequence; also, one episode is pretty much based on this trope - Buttercup learns the Tooth Fairy gives you money for teeth, and starts deliberately knocking villains' teeth out and collecting them to make a huge windfall.
* ThatCloudLooksLike: Bubbles does this, including one that "looked like a cloud".
* ThereWasADoor: {{Lampshaded}} several times. The girls must have racked up quite a bit of roof damage by now due to their preferred method of exit.
* ThickLineAnimation: The animation in the show has always been this, but it is MUCH more noticeable in Seasons 1-3, but most prevalent in Season 2 when the animation studios temporarily changed.
* TheTokyoFireball: Usually as the result of a giant monster, although in at least one episode, the girls ended up doing more damage than the monster -- and getting harshly reprimanded for it.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Buttercup and Bubbles.
* TooDumbToLive: The mayor. In one episode he ''jumped out a window'' because Bubbles told him to go save the day... while pretending to be him.
* TookALevelInBadass: Bubbles in "Bubblevicious" to prove she's hardcore. She even subverted her apparent {{chickification}} when Mojo captured her and gave her the full blunt of his torture device before she broke out and beat him mercilessly all by herself. She only softens from her tough exterior when her sisters finally admit that she's hardcore, only to slide right back into it when Mojo tried to make a cheap shot at all three of them.
* TorchesAndPitchforks: "Collect Her" has this for the angry mob after Lenny Baxter for capturing the girls and "Down And Dirty" has Buttercup facing this kind of mob when she refuses to take a bath in spite of being very dirty and smelly.

As they're the same age throughout the whole show, they're probably less than one year old.
