However, Santa chooses Devin instead of her because Devin has a natural talent for working with children, an essential quality of being Santa that Candy lacks.]]

moved from YMMV

Added DiffLines:

* DoubleStandard: While the show tries to shine a light on issues such as sexism and representation, how it does that is... questionable. Such as Candy being hit on by a guy who gets invasive and he gets punched for being creepy, only for Goldie to basically do the same thing to Devin and it being considered comedic.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Santa himself. While he is consistently portrayed as very flawed and clout seeking, the series as a whole can't seem to make its mind on whether he's genuinely contemptible. For one thing [[spoiler:his reason for not picking Candy]] is portrayed as sound, but in the finale [[spoiler:it's revealed he takes bribes]]. Candy clearly sees him as a BrokenPedestal at best, but its implied she doesn't completely hate him by the end despite everything.

When Santa sees how she acts around children when she is made acting Santa, he sits her down and explains why he can't give her the job.

Maybe we should just wait until we find a proper description for this show.

* WorldOfJerkass: Considering this show is made by Creator/SethRogen (who also made ''WesternAnimation/SausageParty''), this is practically natch.

Cleaning up Natter.

* WorldOfJerkass: Considering that this show is made by Creator/SethRogen (who also made ''WesternAnimation/SausageParty''), this is no exception, as everyone here is just outright terrible. The males are sexist and stupid, while the females are also sexist and stupid but with a spicy new addition of being needlessly violent (The main character, Candy, leaves her sexist reindeer boss to die out in the snow), with other characters having already been {{Flanderized}} the moment they were shown on screen, with their existing character traits being ''horrendously'' exaggerated to a point where it can't be made fun of anymore. Ironically, the only likable character in all of this is the BigBad Santa Claus, who [[spoiler:''even gives his logical reasoning on why he chose Devin, the dumb intern over Candy.'' What does he get in return? [[PrecisionFStrike "Go fuck yourself."]]]] This truly is the antithesis of Christmas.

* EveryoneHasStandards: This depiction of Santa is far from the most ideal but it's clear he takes the role FriendToAllChildren very seriously. [[spoiler:Despite Candy checking off every other criteria he needed and more, her inability and refusal to get along with kids made him change his mind about selecting her as his successor.]]
