* TookALevelInDumbass: Ralph became a complete idiot with almost no intelligence whatsoever, that he can't even make logical decisions anymore and can't even understand basic English anymore. For starters, when Mr. Litwak put in the Wi-Fi router in the arcade outlet, he mispronounces it as "Whiffy" and "Why-Fee", which leads to Sonic having to correct him. On the contrary, it's somewhat understandable because Ralph was made in a game from the 1980's, and the internet was not yet invented until the 1990's, where Sonic was first created. At another point, when one of the kids clearly says "e-Bay", he somehow hears it as "eboy", which becomes the main example of him not being able to understand basic English throughout the film. He also mispronounces "Google" as "goggles" at one point. There were occasions in the first movie where he was acted dense, but he was not a total idiot. In those cases, he was just oblivious or ignorant.

** While Website/YouTube is a profitable site on the internet, Ralph and Vanellope try to earn real dollars on Buzzztube.

** Along with the [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover numerous expected cameos from video game characters as well as the Disney/Disney-owned characters]], Tardar Sauce aka. Grumpy Cat also makes a brief appearance in Disney-animated form in a Website/YouTube video.

** [=BuzzzTube=] is clearly based on Website/YouTube (and in minor measure on Website/{{Buzzfeed}}), but [=YouTube=] still exists and is mentioned.

** At one point, Ralph is digging through a deserted, decaying ruin in the deep depths of the internet [[spoiler:to recover his tossed-away hero medallion]]. The writing on a sign he tosses aside indicates that the area is actually Website/GeoCities.

** Real websites like Website/{{IMDb}}, Website/YouTube, [=TripAdvisor=], Website/{{Reddit}}, and Magazine/NationalGeographic are seen. The logo for Cisco is also noticeable.

* UnderCity: Ralph stumbles across the lower, abandoned areas of the Internet where long-forgotten websites like Website/GeoCities are located. The only inhabitants left are black market dealers and malware programmers.

** "Oh My Disney," one of Disney's official websites, appears in this movie. In it are hubs for Disney characters (notably the princesses), as well as the other major properties that Disney owns, such as Franchise/TheMuppets, Franchise/StarWars, and Franchise/MarvelComics.
** Interestingly, the logo for UsefulNotes/PlayStation's VideoGame/GranTurismo video game series of all things is seen among the hundreds of internet-based cameos.

* TakeThatCritics: When Vanellope meets the Characters/{{Disney Princess}}es, what convinces them she's a princess as well is when Rapunzel asks "Do people assume all your problems got solved because a big, strong man showed up?" and Vanellope responds she doesn't understand why people keep thinking that. It's a blatant shot at the ongoing misconception that all the Disney Princesses [[DamselInDistress completely rely on male characters.]]

** TookALevelInKindness: ...Thanks to Felix and Calhoun, however, [[spoiler:they become incredibly nice when their game gets fixed and playable again.]]
