''Jeannie'' was a short-lived AnimatedAdaptation of ''Series/IDreamOfJeannie'', produced by Creator/HannaBarbera for Creator/{{CBS}}. In this incarnation, Jeannie is found by a teenage surfer named Corey Anders, after finding her bottle on the beach. Jeannie fell in love with Corey and stayed with him and to win his love, she tried to help him with his everyday situations. Added to the main cast are Corey's best friend, Henry, and "junior-genie" Babu. The Great Hadji, Master of All Genies, was the only other character to be reused from the live-action series.

** Teenage Corey takes the place of Major Anthony Nelson in the original series. Henry, Corey's wisecracking best-friend, substitutes for Major Roger Healey.

Added to that, bizarrely enough, Babu wore what appears to be a male version of the original Jeannie's pink costume.

* HotterAndSexier: Although this was a children's show, which the original show never was, Jeannie's costume is much less modest than the original, including transparent pantaloons. She also shows her bellybutton! Makes you wonder why Corey doesn't want her instead of the other girls.

* MagicalGesture: Jeannie flips back her ponytail; in one episode, she loses her powers when she gets her hair cut to impress Corey.
** In the Scooby-Doo episode Jeannie winks as she flips her ponytail.

* NiceGuy: Henry, normally, especially in contrast to Corey; though he develops AcquiredSituationalNarcissism in "Don Juan."
* ObliviousToLove: Corey is oblivious to the fact that Jeannie loves him.

The series has never been released on home video due to conflicts with Creator/ScreenGems (and Hanna-Barbera's plans to reuse the "Jeannie" character ended up shelved). The show is primarily known from a CrossOver with ''WesternAnimation/TheNewScoobyDooMovies''.
