One of the first regular series from Creator/RubySpears. Debuting in 1978. Highly derivative of ''Franchise/ScoobyDoo'' (which was also created by the founders of Ruby-Spears), ''Fangface'' features four teenagers Kim, Biff, Puggsy and Sherman "Fangs" Fangsworth (Puggsy and Fangs imitating Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall of ''The Bowery Boys'' fame). Fangs transforms into a werewolf named Fangface whenever he sees the moon, a picture of the moon, or anything resembling the moon. Fangface has brown fur with tan paws, muzzle and tail tip. He has one large fang in the middle of his upper jaw, which protrudes over his upper lip. They drive around in their convertible called the Wolf-Buggy, and catch crooks and solve crimes involving monsters and evil masterminds. Fangs sits in the backseat next to Puggsy, while Fangface rides on Puggsy's shoulders.

* ChekhovsHobby : Despite Sherman Fangsworth being a cowardly nitwit and a fraidy cat, one of his hobbies is collecting dirt. Thanks to said hobby, he can analyze soil and accurately find the geographic source of it! Fangs also demonstrates other abilities that make him a bit like MacGyver, making him the show's resident CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass.

** And then, in the same episode, Puggsy becomes a werewolf for a short time thanks to the same formula. He looks mostly the same, except for the brown fur on his hands, feet, and face, but he can still talk, and he winds up ''acting'' like Fangface, right down to the "Ooh! Ooh!" exclamation.

He Unlike the drastic difference between Fangs and Fangface, he looks mostly the same, same as normal, except for the brown fur on his hands, feet, and face, but face. On the other hand, unlike the villainous werewolf, he can still talk, and he winds up ''acting'' like Fangface, right down to the "Ooh! Ooh!" exclamation.

** Even more than that, the episode "Where's The Wolf That's The Werewolf" featured the gang going after... a werewolf. Not only did he look entirely different from Fangface (being more humanoid and less FunnyAnimal), his transformation was caused by a potion, not genetics and the moon.

** Even more than that, within the series, werewolves vary. The episode "Where's The Wolf That's The Werewolf" featured the gang going after... a werewolf. Not only did he look entirely different from Fangface (being more humanoid and less FunnyAnimal), FunnyAnimal, though he can't seem to talk), his transformation was caused triggered by a potion, not genetics potion (conveniently labeled "Werewolf Secret Formula").

Another interesting occurrence are the barrage of invented words that the character Puggsy says, such as 'scramify' and 'rescuefy' in the episode "The Ill-Will Of Dr. Chill", which can be heard throughout the entire series.
