This one's a bit of a [[{{Pun}} doozy]] to explain. ''Doozy Bots'' is an American cartoon made by Creator/{{Sunrise}}, and was stated to release in Fall of 1991, but never got picked up by any network. Its purpose was to try to appeal ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' to Western audiences by using the ''Franchise/SDGundam'' designs.

Professor Doozy enlists the help of five students of his - Max, Polly, Scossie, Wipe-Down, and Cole - to deal with his first generation of robots, who have gone rogue and are now determined to "rob the world of fun". To make them capable of fighting back, he trusts them to an experiment of his to transfer their minds into newer robots known as [[TitleDrop "Doozy Bots"]], including Gundam (Max), Guncannon (Scossie), Guntank (Cole), Re-GZ (Wipe-Down), and GM (Polly).

It only spawned an infamous promo and never actually led to anything, and is nowadays considered one of the most obscure and harder to find elements in the entire ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' franchise period, with only videos and reactions of said promo to its name.

!!Tropes associated with ''Doozy Bots'' are:
* AbsentMindedProfessor: Professor Doozy has some shades of this, like bringing a dangerous potion he was experimenting on earlier on his way to greet the kids after they saved the day
* GratuitousAnimalSidekick: Professor Doozy has a pet monkey named Jimmy.
* MythologyGag: One of the characters, a robot turkey named Turkulon, lays eggs that hatch into little Doms. This is pretty similar to gashapon toys, which is one of the things ''SD Gundam'' started as.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Two comic-relief children characters, Tag Along and Brandon, are respectively based off of [[Series/DiffrentStrokes Gary Coleman]] and Creator/WoodyAllen. [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer No, seriously.]]
* RoboSpeak: Jagd Doga-sorry, "Zee Zix" talks a bit like this, making him the most "robot" of all the robot characters.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Polly is the only girl in the main group.
* TotallyRadical: Wipe-Down speaks like your typical SurferDude from a [=90s=] cartoon.
* TwoferTokenMinority: Cole is both Black and wheelchair-bound.
