** Feferi Peixes planned to reform her entire society to become more compassionate to others if and when she became empress, even though said compassion is shown to be more than a bit [[CondescendingCompassion condescending]]. In an AlternateUniverse, she succeeds, but creates a CrapSaccharineWorld that had no hope of beating [[TheGamePlaysYou Sburb]].

*Michael Kappel in ''Webcomic/{{Collar 6}}'' just wants to end the silent cold war between the world governments because their hostility is creating a shadow blight that is poisoning the world (not to mention causing a lot of collateral damage). But he thinks the only way to do it is to DePower everyone but his loyalists and take control of the world himself.

* Celesto Morgan in ''DominicDeegan: Oracle for Hire''. Compare him to the far more ruthless (and detestable) KnightTemplar Raf Maliksh, who tries to kill Celesto for being insufficiently fanatical.

* As shown somewhat earlier in the strip, Miranda West of ''TheWotch'' walks full stride into Well Intentioned Extremity in a recent arc, where she punishes [[SchoolNewspaperNewsHound Ivan]] for being too intrusive in his desire to discover Anne's secrets, also condemns two innocents, and then refuses Ivan's plea that he has (apparently) learned his lesson, as well as refusing to help the ones who had nothing to do with her concerns, [[http://www.thewotch.com/?epDate=2008-12-23 threatening him]] when he calls her out on it. But her status as a WellIntentionedExtremist comes not just from her actions, but also from [[http://www.thewotch.com/?epDate=2009-01-09 her attempt to justify it]] to her familiar (and herself).

* It's been stated that Roxy Lalonde from ''{{Homestuck}}'' doesn't really plan her actions often, and they tend to do more harm than good. But she usually means well and enjoys helping her friends, even though she's done things such as blowing up her best friend's computer and coercing her into revealing her feelings for Jake.

* [[spoiler: Ian Samael]] from ''ErrantStory'' comes from a culture where Elven oppression is common and many Elves wouldn't think twice before wiping him out. His goal to keep his people from being hunted down by Elves is fine; pity that he tries to do so by [[spoiler: attempting to wipe out the Elves himself.]]

* SUEPR Team One, from ''CityOfReality'', attempts to protect Reality's MarySueTopia by destroying the entirety of the neighboring World of Magic, which has threatened to wreck their way of life. The protagonists are forced to try to stop them, despite nearly falling victim to the very same cynicism.
* Weijuaru of {{Juathuur}} basically wants to make every juathuur a god, because that would mean absolute freedom.

**A clear example from Homestuck is Aranea, who wishes to create an alternate timeline where the BigBad never comes to power, and then use her unique abilities to make that timeline become the main universe. Of course, in order to do so, she is willing to kill anyone that gets in the way, including those opposed to the very Big Bad she's trying to stop.

* Another example: Professor Broadshouders in ''[[http://zebragirl.keenspot.com Zebra Girl]]'' has made it his life's mission to rid the world of demons - and doesn't care who he has to hurt, damn, or kill to get the job done.
** Up to and including himself.
* Baron Klaus Wulfenbach in ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'' rules with an iron fist to protect the world from the sociopathic, unwittingly violent genius of the "[[MadScientist Sparks]]". Attempts are made to paint him as a NecessarilyEvil ruler whose methods are indeed [[TheExtremistWasRight improving the world]], though; it is stated a few times that Klaus doesn't enjoy babysitting Europe.
** Klaus is actually an extremely interesting example as he could actually be called a "reluctant tyrant". He hates his job, and would much rather be off adventuring or making crazy inventions (he rarely gets to partake in the latter). As a dictator, his rule basically comes down to "Don't make me come over there!" (Don't start a war, or tamper with forbidden technology of the Other.) Don't break that rule (or make a move to do so), and he is quite content to leave people alone.
--->'''Baron Wulfenbach:''' [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20040806 "So I stopped it. And I did it my way this time. No more negotiating. No more promises. No more second chances. And I did it alone. Because I had to. And it worked."]]
*** Of course, this is only what we see as readers. People living under his rule are not as happy.
--->'''Tarvek Sturmvoraus:''' [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20110422 "...And you know, even at a distance, I still learned a lot from your father: If someone can't handle an unpleasant truth? Lie to them. If someone won't listen to reason? Make them. If people don't choose to live peaceably? Don't give them a choice. If you don't like the rules--change the game."]]
*** Although for accuracy, that is from the perspective of someone who thinks of himself as the "legitimate" ruler of Europe by inheritance, and views Wulfenbach as a usurper.
*** [[spoiler:After the Baron's empire falls apart, a few years of strife have vindicated the Baron. Many people now consider the Baron's rule a golden age and wish someone like him was running things again.]]

done. Up to and including himself.
* ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'':
** [[JustTheFirstCitizen Baron]] [[EmperorScientist Wulfenbach,]] absolute ruler of Europa. He demands obedience of his subjects, kidnaps the children of notable [[MadScientist Sparks]] to his floating citadel in the sky, sends criminals and troublemakers to the [[GeniusLoci Castle]] [[DeathTrap Heterodyne]] to repair it, [[SnipeHunt despite nobody even possibly knowing how to,]] and has burned entire towns down to the ground to contain unmanageable problems within. He's also absolutely fanatical about keeping the Heterodyne bloodline under control, which puts him at odds with the protagonist Agatha, herself the last known heir of the family. The thing is, he has a point. Prior to his taking control, Europa was a chaotic, feudal place of madness where most Sparks ran wildly and warred against each other with their insane creations, the worst of which included the exceptionally powerful Heterodyne family, which for at least fifteen hundred years had been, with two very notable exceptions, irredeemably evil warmongers singlehandedly capable of bringing Europa into ruin. Everything
Baron Klaus Wulfenbach in ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'' rules with an iron fist has done, however horrific, has been to protect restore peace and order to the world from the sociopathic, unwittingly violent genius of the "[[MadScientist Sparks]]". Attempts are made to paint him as a NecessarilyEvil ruler whose methods are indeed country, [[TheExtremistWasRight improving the world]], though; it is stated a few times that Klaus doesn't enjoy babysitting Europe.

** Even more so, Miko Miyazaki from the same strip. A case study in what Lawful Good can do, when taken to its extremes. Justice untempered with Mercy, blind to the possibility that she could ever be wrong.
