This is a thinly-veiled reference to the controversy sparked by Ed Zitron of Eurogamer scoring Darkfall Online 2/10. * NoPronunciationGuide: Parodied. The squid-people of the continent Churrask'hal are called the Zhk'rgz. The Clichequest name generator creates names like 'Xvalglogiorull' and 'Ethangriredashmid'. A raid boss is named Ghrzxz. And so on...

* [[OnlySaneMan Only Sane Woman]]: Hypatia is a newbie who doesn't have the newbie lack-of-common-sense that Ohforf has, and thinks that gitting gud and kicking the [=PKs=] asses is a better way to deal with them than whining about them.

* [[StopHavingFunGuys "Stop Having Fun" Guy]]: (InUniverse). Al, one of the developers, is also a [=PvPer=] who despises all [=non-PVP=] content and constantly fights with the other developers when forced to work on "carebear content". * BribingYourWayToVictory: The Clichequest App for cellphones, '[[UnfortunateNames App Yours]]'. The free version lets you access your character's bank. The paid version lets you access other player's banks.

* UnfortunateName: The earlier mentioned Lord Herpes.

** Rangers are incredibly overpowered, [[AuthorAppeal due to the lead developer's liking for playing them]]- something many real game devs are accused of doing, [[ScapegoatCreator true or not]].

Author Gianna Masetti announced that the comic would be on indefinite hiatus while she dealt with some real life issues back in September 15. Since the issues came about at the same time as a redesign of the website, a lot of the links to individual comics are broken.
