* SinisterScythe: Lampshaded and Discussed. Merry's WeaponOfChoice is a scythe and she KNOWS it's a terrible weapon, to the point of practically quoting the page this trope uses to define it.

* ThisIsADrill: Trevor's WeaponOfChoice.

** [[MesACrowd Cerene]] plays this trope straight and manages to do this with ''[[UpToEleven herself]]'', using her 'Mind Prism' to divide her personality traits. Red is her aggressiveness and her "[[BloodKnight cool badass beat-up-everyone ideas]]", grey is her stealth and [[DeadpanSnarker cynicism]], and blue is left with only her people skills and "[[TheDitz the ditz brain]]".

* NiceHat: Say what you like about Bael, that is a FINE hat... that he apparently inherited from Charlie. Maggie also has a pretty nice hat.

* CastHerd: While having LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters, Suppression does break them up into smaller groups and swaps focus between them.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: Suppression has a sizeable amount of characters distributed among all the various factions, and they keep throwing more characters in them.

* FiveManBand: Albeit with no clearly defined hero.

* CulturalPosturing: Bartleby just oozes this when he doesn't even acknowledge the humans as relevant when scheming with Maggie about their evil plot. You [[CantArgueWithElves can't argue with Bartleby]] after all because [[OurElvesAreBetter Thal'nasians are clearly better than everyone else]].

* {{Adorkable}}: Solstice fits this trope to a T. She is also considered a CuteBookworm for good measure.

* TheUndead: The Wights apparently all are... but they seem to be varying degrees of dead-ness.

"Sammy" for Samantha Wight is also another one, but instead she insists on being called her first name. Charlie as TheNicknamer conveniently gives everyone [[MeaningfulName meaningful nicknames]] in the form of mythological references.
