* CycleOfRevenge: Both the purple haired Venenians and green haired Evebenians are utterly murderous towards each other, defaulting to "kill on sight" because they are both retaliating to slights against each other started over an unspecified CultureClash.

* FeelingOppressedByTheirExistence: The true cause of the Evebian (green haired) vs Venenian (purple haired) SpaceElves war. Both cultures felt "oppressed" by the very existence of the other culture and protested, violently, about being "influenced" until ''one fight'' with a single casualty caused both sides to turn to actual oppression, and then genocide.

* MoralMyopia: There is no "right" side on the green vs purple war. Speaking with the purple-haired Venenians, it would seem that the downtrodden Venenians are guilty of DisproportionateRetribution, responding to internment camps with genocide, but speaking with the oppressors, the Evebenians, by their own admission, the Evebenians are the ones guilty of DisproportionateRetribution, seeking to KillThemAll as a result of a fight where ''one Venenian killed one Evebenian'', and we don't even know the circumstances of that particular fight. The Venenians retaliating and judging the Evebenians by their own standards only serves to convince the Evebenians that they were right, and genocide of the Venenians in the first place was the correct reaction.

** It gets worse when we hear the Evebenian's side of the story. Turns out the purple-haired Venenians are every bit as xenophobic as the Evebenians, and [[http://www.starpowercomic.com/comic/second-opinion both races held protests, violent ones, near their respective borders, both sides decrying the other for "influencing" their inherent respective cultures]]. With tensions high, a fight broke out where '''one''' Venenian killed '''one''' Evebian. The Evebians, as a whole, stormed into the Venenian cities, captured them all, and interned them "to quell the spread of their murderous ways," until the Venenians broke out, rebelled, and put the Evebians ''to their own standards.'' Now both races are out to genocide each other.
* NotSoDifferent: As much as the Evebenians and Venenians eschew supposed cultural differences that make them utterly abhorrent to each other (as well as minor superficial differences in appearance), their reactions to ''anything'' are identical, without fail. Harm one of them, or even be '''suspected of harming one of them'', of either race, even accidentally, and their entire race instantly desires to utterly genocide yours.

* TranslatorMicrobes: Everyone in the Federation speaks a common language. ''Everyone.'' Despite the cast coming from various independent planets and cultures, LanguageBarrier is never an issue. Oddly this also applies to The Countess, aka The Ninth Wormhole is literally a FishOutOfTemporalWater, and there's no explanation given as to how she learned to speak "common" especially without biting [[OverlyLongTongue her tongue off in the process.]] Later zig-zagged when complete sensory recordings from Star Power fails to translate the Evebenians and the Venenians into recognizable speech for the command crew of the Traveller.

* TranslatorMicrobes: Everyone in the cast speaks a common language. ''Everyone.'' Despite the cast coming from various independent planets and cultures, LanguageBarrier is never an issue. While it can be HandWaved among the characters from the Federation, as they all have to work, if not live together, The Countess, aka The Ninth Wormhole is literally a FishOutOfTemporalWater, and there's no explanation given as to how she learned to speak "common" especially without biting [[OverlyLongTongue her tongue off in the process.]]

* FasterThanLightTravel: Millennium Federation technology has short-range "jump drives" that are normally only used for in-system travel and gates for inter-system travel. One of the Star Power abilities is a personal FTL drive.

The green-haired Ewbeni see the purple-haired ones as "abominations," took their lands by force, and put the population in internment camps. The purple haired race rebelled, using the [[HoistByHisOwnPetard Ewbeni's own weapons against them]] and drove them off, but the Ewbeni are so insistent on trying to lock them all up again, that the purple haired race has utterly come to believe the only way to truly be free is to exterminate the "grass heads" to the last, without exception.

* TheReveal: [[spoiler: The Scintillians created the Star Powered Sentinels to be their enforcers, only for the Sentinels to betray their despotic creators.]]

* MonochromaticEyes: When Danica uses the Star Power, her eyes become all white.

[[spoiler:Which is quite the case of [[{{Hypocrite}} the pot calling the kettle black]], as the Countess literally ''murdered her entire species'' for daring to retreat in the face of imminent annihilation.]]

* FasterThanLightTravel: Danica unlocks this feature of the Star Power to go meet with the Void Archangel.
