And after Taisei pulls him into a brohug of sorts, he [Yuudai] freaks out [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything like he was being touched in a inappropriate place]]. And you might want to interprete it like Taisei just being his [[LoveYouAndEverybody usual self]], but it all seems like Taisei is flirting with Yuudai. It's so blantant that Yuudai even asks Taro if Taisei is gay. Well, he is [[HaveAGayOldTime gay. He is one big ball of happiness]] that even Yuudai can't resist. It also doesn't help that Yuudai behaves like a massive {{Tsundere}} at times. [[{{Shipping}} Shippers]] of course have gone and [[FanPreferredCouple run with this scenario]].

A {{Comedy}} with a side of SliceOfLife, ''Sakana'', created by [[http://www.smackjeeves.com/profile.php?id=63098 Madeline Rupert]], is one of the more popular webcomics hosted on SmackJeeves. It follows the lives of two [[LoserProtagonist awkward]] Japanese brothers working at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. Taro, the older brother, while a NiceGuy and [[BigBrotherInstinct very protective of his younger brother]], is kind of a sociopath, and the younger brother, Jiro, is a talented register worker, but terribly afraid of girls. Other important characters are their friends, family and co-workers, especially [[FunPersonified Taisei]], the slightly silly and always cheerful best friend of Jiro, and Yuudai, the [[{{Jerkass}} gruff]] and [[DeadpanSnarker snarky]] primary register worker, who bears [[SitcomArchNemesis a constant grudge]] against Jiro for being better at selling fish than he [Yuudai] is.

** He is also [[HoYay notably flustered]] when [[NoSenseOfPersonalSpace Taisei]] is not put off by Yuudais {{Jerkass}} behaviour and instead immediately accepts him as his friend and pulls him into some sort of "bro hug", thus invading Yuudais normally good protected comfort zone.

* HatesEveryoneEqually: Yuudai claims he is this.

* {{Jerkass}}: Yuudai certainly acts this way, but some panels indicate that it's actually just him being fed up with life and having no trust into people. Because if someone (Read: [[LoveYouAndEverybody Taisei]]) would strip Yuudai out of all his layers of his [[BuffySpeak Jerkass-ness]], then it shows that he is actually just a shy and a quite lonely person.

* BloodyHilarious: In many of the comic strips featuring Taro in his job as a butcher, he cuts fish with such a vigor that the [[HighPressureBlood blood splatters all over the place.]] And it's HILARIOUS.

* EasterEgg: A guy with a cap with the phrase [[FunTShirt "THIS GUY"]] on it show up frequently in the background. He seems to be a ChekhovsGunman, because the artist revealed that he will have a bigger role in the future.

* BigBrotherInstinct: Taro is a pretty cool big bro, he cares a lot for his little brother, and is always there to help him out, ''threatens Yuudai with a knife'' when he's about to say something bad about Jiro [[spoiler: (and later punches Yuudai in the face when Yuudai's trying to do that again)]] and is always concerned that Jiro may be hurt. This also applies to the time when Taro was a [[{{Delinquents}} delinquent]], but then it was taken to rather hilarious extremes:
