What ''doesn't'' make it a lot like Homestuck is the fact that instead of a curious child playing videogames, we have a [[WalkingShirtlessScene constantly stripping]] [[UnlikelyHero average protagonist]] trying to [[OnlyInItForTheMoney pay an overdue rent.]] This spirals out of control as the protagonist is dropped into a chain of events involving [[spoiler: such things as [[WouldHurtAChild stealing bikes from children]], [[DealWithTheDevil selling his]] [[SellOut soul to]] [[YourSoulIsMine a demon]], [[ReligionOfEvil joining a cult]], [[MurphysLaw and much, much more confusing stuff.]]]] All this confusion is driven by the fact that the actions done in the comic is all [[FanFic suggested by readers of the comic]], who in turn also [[TuckeriZation submit characters to appear in the comic]].

* NakedPeopleAreFunny: PDR Guy will strip for almost any reason ever, from simple greetings and seduction, to intimidation and puzzle solving. This has gotten him thrown in jail multiple times, and, on one occasion, killed.

** Attempting to reenact Titanic has become one as of lately.
** The disturbing youngster disappearing whenever the readers prompt the main guy to talk to him.

* WouldHurtAChild: The amount of abuse PDR Guy does to the Faithful Dimwit early on in the comic occurs so often that it's almost a running gag.

* ArtEvolution: The thumbnail above is its initial art style, and the drawings early on was sketchy, simplistic and inconsistent, matching the "shitposty" tone the comic had going in. As time goes on however, the lines become cleaner and character designs become more complex and continuous, reflecting the growth in plot and writing the series has gone through.
* AuthorAvatar: The artist and writer for the comic, Grumpisimo, appears earlier on in the comic.
* BagOfHolding: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted.]] A large amount of the main character's inventory seems to be stored in one, though it has a limit.
* BigBad: The Landlord. Although at the beginning he may not seem like it, later on we learn he has [[DamselInDistress kidnapped the protagonist's girlfriend]] [[ForTheEvulz for no real reason]] and has been spying him for a long time.

* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: Every species in the comic is given a unique color (or color range) to show which species the character is.
** The only exception is humans, they can come in any color. In fact, there are human characters in the comic that use colors wich are similar to those the demons use.

* DamselInDistress: The protagonist's girlfriend after being kidnapped by [[BigBad the Landlord]]
* EnfantTerrible: The Faithful Dimwit while he wore the demon overlord's hat.
