* BroadStrokes: The webcomic this was based on continued from Lunatea's Veil, yet this comic references events from Klonoa Heroes despite it being an AlternateContinuity from the main series. Thus, this is one of the only ways it could work in this continuity.

Added example for Repressed Memories

* AdaptationalWimp: Though King of Despair is portrayed as a threat in the comic, it's clear that he's far less dangerous than his ally Janga who carries them during the fight with his poison attacks. Bagoo himself however doesn't use all 3 of his masks or any of his attacks from his game of origin, preferring to use brute force instead. Once Leorina helps to empower Klonoa's Wind Ring, Bagoo completely folds and even dies by inflating like a balloon and shattering to pieces.

* ObviouslyNotFine: Leorina keeps insisting that her "illness" is just a simple headache, even when the High Priestess asks her to have Dr. Medim check it out. This is despite said headache temporarily preventing her from powering Klonoa's wind ring in the fight against Janga and Bagoo, nearly getting the boy killed.

* AscendedExtra: Lolo's superior, the High Priestess of La-Lakoosha, is only seen a few times in at least three games. However, she joins Klonoa and Leorina, or rather gets thrown into the adventure here, thanks to Claire's portals. She also powers Klonoa's wind ring during the fight against Janga and Bagoo, as both Hewpoe and Lolo are still MIA.

* AdaptationalVillainy: While Claire the Ancient, the goddess of Lunatea, was an unseen but benevolent figure in Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, she is made here into the GreaterScopeVillain. Trope in that the High Priestess says that Goddess Claire and Claire the Ancient are not the same being "anymore". This is likely in reference to Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, where Popka mentions that Claire the Ancient was what remained after Goddess Claire was purged of all evil.
