His brother was later murdered, and Josiah was arrested for trying to kill his brother’s murderer. He was sent to prison at [[HarmfulToMinors AGE 14]], and served 9 years. Even after he is released things don’t get better. He tries to escape a life of crime by applying for jobs, but employers don’t want an Ex-Con working for them.
*DrivenToSuicide: Josiah attempts to take his own life by jumping off a building in the first chapter. But through currently unexplained means, his wounds are undone and he lives.
*ExoticEyeDesigns: Skandalous has eyes reminiscent of a snake.
*Fighting Spirit: As is the series trademark. As of now only three have appeared.

*GoryDiscretionShot: In the Remake of Chapter 1, the comic cuts to a building when Parental Guidance is shot. His body is also entirely silhouetted the last time we see him.
*GroinAttack: JD kicks Parental Guidance in the balls in the remastered first chapter.
*HealingFactor: Josiah appears to have one through his stand.
*MrFanservice: Josiah is in very good physical shape which is showcased a number of times. In the Remastered Chapter 1 you can see his abs through his prison uniform, and there’s a panel where he’s wearing nothing but his underwear. He also has more shirtless scenes in other chapters.
*MusicalThemeNaming: As to be expected from a JoJo FanPart.
*Mythology Gag: Josiah has a star on his left shoulder. However it is a tattoo and not the series signature birthmark.
*No-Sell: In the Remastered Chapter 1, Josiah ignores being shot by Parental Guidance three times.
*PurpleIsPowerful: Purple is the color of Josiah’s suit and is generally associated with him. He’s also likely the strongest character in the comic so far, considering every time he’s been supposedly killed or harmed he just comes back completely unscathed.
*WackyRacing: The XO Tour Race, which includes some of the following competitors. A man with a racing helmet that appears to have a 3D graphical face to express his mood, A Russian man driving an actual tank that can apparently keep up with all the other cars, and the undefeated champion who possesses a [[FightingSpirit stand]] he can utilize to give him an advantage in the race.
*WretchedHive: If it wasn’t apparent already, Davis’ monologue in Chapter 2 sells how corrupt and dangerous Midnight City is.
