* DontTryThisAtHome: In "The Prank!", Junior and Joseph decide to glue Chef Pee Pee's eyes shut with Elmer's school glue. Cody objects to this prank, saying that Chef Pee Pee could permanently go blind if they try it. Not wanting to be responsible for anyone seeing the episode actually doing this in real life, Cody puts up a disclaimer saying, "DO NOT PUT GLUE IN YOUR EYES!".

** In "Jeffy Gets Glasses!", Jeffy goes blind after he shines a laser in his eyes. As this happens, Officer Brooklyn T. Guy interrupts the video to tell the viewers not to attempt what Jeffy did, as it will cause them to go blind.

* GiftForAnOutgrownInterest: Invoked by Bowser Junior and Joseph in "Cody's Birthday!" Cody makes the mistake of revealing to Junior and Joseph that he was born on [[UsefulNotes/LeapDay February 29]], and even though he's eight years old, per the calendar, this will only be his second birthday. Upon hearing this, Junior and Joseph go as far as to make a baby-themed birthday party for him and pretend that he's two years old. Among the presents they give him are diapers, an animal wheel, rattles, and rainbow stacking rings. Cody is less than amused.

** Prior to the events of "Bowser's House Fire!" and "Mario's Family Moves Out!", both Bowser's family and Mario's family were established to be living in different (yet similar) houses.

** Prior to the events of "Bowser's House Fire!" and "Mario's Family Moves Out!", both Bowser's family and Mario's family were established to be living in different (yet similar) houses.houses, with the odd episode like "Black Yoshi the Babysitter" being the exception to the rule.

** Shrek has several of these throughout most of his later appearances, to the point where he was largely written out of the series due to these happening.

* SeriesContinuityError:
** While the earlier videos make it a point that Bowser and Mario's collective familes lived in different houses, a few episodes would occasionaly have them interact as if they lived in the same place, usually through Toad or Chef Pee-Pee.
** Conversely, the more recent videos seem to take frequent pains to not show either family on screen at the same time; to the point where one episode has Mario say he'll call Bowser as if he lives independent from Mario, despite the two living together at this point.
** "The Human Potion" flat out forgets that the turtles and Pee-Pee ''live'' with Mario, and that he owns the house that Goodman's trying to evict Bowser out of. Also forgetting about Black Yoshi and Shrek not being human, as they like Mario, make no appearance.

** Jeffy is sometimes shown to not like peas, for example in "Jeffy Gets Potty Trained!", and he is also revealed to [[SpoiledBrat have a bratty side]] as he claims he wants marshmallows instead of peas.

** Jeffy is sometimes shown to not like peas, for example in "Jeffy Gets Potty Trained!", and he is also revealed to [[SpoiledBrat have a bratty side]] as he claims he wants marshmallows instead of peas. This later extends to Green Beans, not helped by Mario's insistance that Jeffy only eats them and nothing else during supper.

* SubvertedKidsShow: The thumbnails, video titles, and descriptions seem innocent at first glance, but the series blatantly contains swearing, sexual references, and so on. It only dwelled further into this territory once the Human Puppets entered the picture, leading to the series giving off impressions similar to other puppet shows like ''Series/SesameStreet'', a work actually targeted at children.

** InUniverse, ''Doofy the Dragon'' contains a DepravedKidsShowHost who constantly whines about his life, calls his wife a bitch, and frequently commits suicide.

** A more recent specific example can be seen in "The Baseball Game" Where Shrek just up and disappears during the second half of the short for reasons never explained.

** "Joseph Gets Adopted" focuses, naturally, on Joseph getting adopted by the Huckerdoos. Despite Cody's insistence that the Huckerdoos adopted him anyway, we never see Joseph in any scene with the Huckerdoo children; leaving it ambiguous if he actually does live with them or not.

* WeightLossSalad: In "Shrek's Diet!", Shrek suffers a heart attack after eating too much cheesecake, so under the advice of Dr. Brooklyn T. Guy, Mario puts Shrek on a diet and makes him eat salad. Mario tells Shrek that [[GreensPrecedeSweets if he eats all of his salad, he will let him have a bite of cheesecake for dessert]], but Shrek would much rather eat cheesecake first. Because Shrek really refuses to eat his salad, Mario and Chef Pee Pee have to tie him down and force-feed him.
