*** Foongus's Paradox form, Bad Bonnet has a moss-covered appearance. It'll evolve into Brute Bonnet before going through another evolutionary stage, Beast Bonnet, that is based on the ''Deinocheirus''.

** The Primal versions of the Fossil Pokemon are fully completed genetic clones, that removed the Rock-Typing from their genome.
*** Primal Kabuto has spike features and is a Bug-Type.
*** Primal Omystar has a cone-like shell rather than the helix-spiraled shell, and is a pure Water-Type.
*** Primal Lileep possesses a thinner look than the bulbous head shape and is a Grass/Water Type.
*** Primal Cranidos has a flatter head shape compared to the dome head shape of Cranidos. They are a Steel-Type.

* TerrifyingTyrannosaur: Like their predecessors, the Primal versions of Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are this, with the latter instilling fear onto Pokemon to rule its territories.

*** Both Primal Amaura and Primal Aurorus displayed antenna and have their Rock-Typing replaced with the Electric-Typing.

* SnowySabertooths: Primal Meowth will evolve into Primal Persina that bears resemblance to a ''Smilodon''.

* AllTheOtherReindeer: {{Downplayed}}. The Eevee are the only modern day Pokemon that exists in the Paleon Region. The sole reason for this is due to the special connection they have with the Paleon Region which allows them to gain new Evolutions.

** The Drakento are Stegosaurid like Pokemon with spikes along its back and on his shoulders, like ''Kentrosaurus'' and ''Gigantspinosaurus''. Though they are DumbDinos, their lack of awareness makes them prone to swing their spikes around bystanders.

* DinosaursAreDragons: Froopy Art explains it makes sense to have some of the Dinosaur-like Pokemon to be Dragon Types. This includes Spinozar, Hadratoot, a Carnotox and Primal Tyrantrum who is based on a ''Tyrannosaurus Rex'' but has an additional Fire-Typing.

* DoofyDodo: Dodoi. The researchers all agreed that the Dodoi went extinct due to its low intelligence. Though, a Trainer can at least teach it to follow simple commands.
