* MindScrew: Much of the original tapes are already weirdly bizarre and unnerving. [[UpToEleven EIT edits them to go even further.]]

''Memory Hole'' is an online ClipShow created by the people behind Website/EverythingIsTerrible. According to the one of the creators in a [[https://www.vice.com/en/article/exm8az/reincarnating-90s-home-movies-that-were-too-weird-for-tv-131 VICE interview]], the group was given, [[NoodleIncident through some unknown means or connections,]] a MASSIVE collection of VHS tapes, all of them being rejected home movies/audition tapes for [[OurLawyersAdvisedThisTrope "the longest-running]] [[Series/AmericasFunniestHomeVideos primetime television program in history."]] Why exactly were all these tapes rejected?

Reasons ranging from [[StylisticSuck just being boring and unfunny]] to straight up [[NightmareFuel horrifying and EXTREMELY bizarre.]]

As such, in a similar vein to their various compilation videos and movies from their regular name, the group has compiled all of these tapes into various videos, many of which have themes (however vague or not) which the tapes chosen for that video pertain to. The result is something that crosses the border between [[SurrealHumor bewilderingly hilarious]] and [[SurrealHorror nightmarishly warped.]]

You can find their Website/YouTube channel [[https://www.youtube.com/c/MemoryHole here]].

!!''Memory Hole'' gives examples of:

* AbusiveParents: Though it could just be a case of lack of context, parents being neglectful or outright scarring their children intentionally is a weirdly common occurence in these videos. For example, the children being stuck in the toilet and metallic bin crying their eyes out in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzUgdMgnGuI stuck.]]
* ClipShow: Much like their [[Website/EverythingIsTerrible regular stuff]], alot of the videos are compilations of various rejected VHS tapes.
* MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext: While it's clear these tapes were meant to be for AFV, the context and reasoning behind what went into them is largely absent.
* MindScrew: Much of the original tapes are already weirdly bizarre and unnerving. [[UpToEleven EIT edits them to go even further.]]
* MonsterClown: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM5PJ_EDYEI clown town.]]
* OurLawyersAdvisedThisTrope: In the VICE interview above, one of the creators says they're not allowed to distinct what show these tapes were for. But given he referred to it as "the longest-running primetime television program in history," [[Series/AmericasFunniestHomeVideos it's pretty clear what show he's talking about.]]
* {{Squick}}: Crops up from time to time, a notable [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fHoL_5EZis example]] of one being a guy in a Santa suit sitting in a lawn chair talking to a little girl, while the camera zooms in on what appears to be [[UrineTrouble pee dripping from under his chair.]]
* SpecialEffectsFailure: A lot of these tapes aren't exactly professional produced.
* SurrealHumor
* SurrealHorror: Back-and-forths between SurrealHumor and this.
* UncannyValley: Setting aside the edits EIT does, a lot of these videos seem to be full of people acting in weirdly bizarre manners, putting on [[NightmareFace weird and unnatural faces or masks]] and costumes, and give off extremely uncomfortable vibes.
