* XtremeKoolLetterz: This originated from Dan creating a news blog when he was 12. He wanted to call it "Dan's News" but it was already taken. So he changed the name to "Danz Newz" and it stuck ever since.

Danz started getting into machinima when he got into the Grand Theft Auto game editor. He then started making The 360 Avatar, a series where Danz would voice-over his Xbox 360 Avatar talking. Danz then showed Machinima his work and they liked it and they gave him a spot.

Danz met the Creatures through Sp00n. Machinima put a description of one of Danz's videos in one of Sp00n's videos. Danz contacted Machinima about it then contacted Sp00n about it. Sp00n and Danz then became friends after that. A short time after that, Sp00n introduced Danz to the Creatures, where Gassy and Danz became quick friends. He began making regular appearances on Creature Talk and doing gaming commentaries after meeting the Creatures. He later adopted what they did, having considered it before.

* ButtMonkey: Occasionally. In one video where the Creatures went to the P.O. box to pick up fanmail, Dan was acting particularly silly. After the video, we were treated to pictures of the Creatures, saying what huge (fake) achievements they went on to do in their lives. Dan's was "Dan never got laid. Ever."

* FatAndSkinny: Danz is the chubby one out of the rest of the group.
** Fans have noted this has reversed. Dan's lost some weight while some of the others have gained weight.
** Judging from the few times we see Sp00n, he seems to be the same weight as Dan, if not slightly more.
* FirstPersonGhost: Lampshaded in the first episode of his ''[[VideoGame/BioShock1 Bioshock]]'' series.
* TheHeart: Dan is the Heart of the Creaturs mostly because he seems to dedicate more time to the group than any of the others. He's noted how he's been focusing more of the Creature Hub channel than on his own.
* HeterosexualLifePartners / VitriolicBestBuds: With Nova and formerly Gassy.

* ManOfAThousandVoices: Less so than Gassy, but he definitely qualifies.
