* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Inverted. Matt finds blood gross so his swords, while able to slice through people, don't cut things. Justified in that the his powers are implied to be on a mental level. [[spoiler:The same is true of Dark Matt.]]

* DamselInDistress: Cosmo is periodically captured by Dark Matt. However he never actually plans out keeping her kidnapped and on some occasions she just walks out because she'd rather be doing something.
* DCupDistress: The Head Maid really hates being as large as she is. Of course if you had GagBoobs you wouldn't be happy either.

* Fiction500: Dark Matt is implied to have a huge check what with being an actor and all, though its really the maid who falls into this as she hoards all of the money she charges for dealing with Damien. It is implied she could run for office with what she has.

* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: The consistency of werebeasts is pretty flimsy. Adult ones like Boar can change at will but others change only at nights that have a full moon. A good majority of the werebeast cast aren't even normal creatures but mythological ones like Oni or harpies.

* HornyDevils: Downplayed with Artemis. She could eat life force through adult means, but its easier for her to just drain it with her hands not unlike Dio Brando.
* HypocriticalHumor: Matt has repeatedly stated he hates perverts but he carries around lewd images to activate his weaponized nosebleeds.

* OldShame: The cartoonist doesn't like his first attempt at fanfiction. Averted with his first comic series which he still finds amusing.

* RealityWarper: Dark Matt gains this power after the time skip but can only affect people based on their karmic impact. This usually manifests as giving people the flu.
* SpiderPeople: Driders are a common species but unlike most portrayals the are only about six inches tall. This is thrown out the window in the Role Plays where Entegra is scaled up to the size of the other characters but Mildred is still tiny.

* GettingCrapPasttheRadar: While there is technically no radar to speak of, Entegra still says "wanker" without it being censored like several other curse words.

* MST3KMantra: Good luck figuring out just how Matt can turn into other heroes, the cartoonist certainly doesn't.

* Fangirl: Mildred is one to Garland of all people. Especially odd in that she's a 90 year old [[SpiderPeople spider person]].

Luigifan also treats his characters as aging in real time, while pommyman's characters age according to the plot. They usually make it work, but there are times when things get very... awkward.[[note]]Most notably, according to Luigifan, Galaxina is alive and in a relationship with Mighty the Armadillo, and Cosmo is in a relationship with Ray the Flying Squirrel. The comic itself (which is solely operated by pommyman) puts Miles "Tails" Prower in the position of Cosmo's LoveInterest, as he is in ''Anime/SonicX''. Depending on the roleplay, Cosmo and Galaxina may be operated by Luigifan or pommyman (or they may be divided between the two), resulting in slightly inconsistent characterization. Things get even crazier after the time skip, as Luigifan's characters are treated as being 15 years later while pommyman's characters are treated as being 23 years later. This results in some very weird relationships. Thankfully, while the roleplays are all canon with respect to each other, they are ''not'' canon to the comic itself, which makes it easy to completely avoid the weirdness.[[/note]]

The medium was originally (bad) fan fiction, but then progressed to ms paint and from there to decent hand drawings, with the story changing as well on occasion as the cartoonist gets better at story telling. The story itself is a fan fiction but is unfortunately rather missing in favor of shenanigans that don't follow much of a sense of time. The actual plot itself is about Matthew Mokary, who unfortunately fell off a building during a field trip before the whole thing even started. Due to being lackluster all in all, he is split into two parts: one going to heaven, the other to hell. What follows is his training to become the guardian angel of an alternate Cosmo and keep the demonic half of him and his girlfriend Artemis from terrorizing the poor plant girl. HilarityEnsues between fighting the "evil" Dark Matt and dealing with the resident fool, Collin.

Many of the comics have ongoing play-by-post games between pommyman and another user, [[Tropers/{{Luigifan}} Luigifan18]], which add extra characters to the mix, new plot lines! and expand upon plotline elements in the comic itself.

* ArtEvolution: Looking back at the older comics you'd think they'd be a different series entirely.

* GenericCuteness: The characters all look like bomberman characters so even Nessie, who is supposed to be an angler fish, looks rather cute.

* TooDumbtoLive: Collin's entire point. He loses this trait after the timeskip.

* YouNoTakeCandle: Devin and Nessie speak like this. Devin because she has no schooling, and Nessie because her voice makes men go crazy.

Similar to Naruto Shipuden, there is a {{time skip}}ped storyline set 22 years after the original story with many of the previous characters having gotten married and becoming parents. There are also new characters not related to the normal series, but the base plot is relatively similar to the last, with Matt having to become a guardian angel again and protect Ivy and Sky from what is possibly the laziest villain ever.

* BerserkButton: A "she who must not be named" led to the cartoonist developing a hatred of her and "feminazis", though he has noted that feminism in general is needed.
