* OutsideContextProblem: Aku thinks that since other worlds have no other way of dealing with him (for example: the sword of a certain "samurai fool"), it will be all the more easier for him to rebuild his empire. Then again, he himself didn't account for the possibility that a certain drunkard scientist would actually take the initiative to stop him.

* ContinuityNod: Mabel reveals that the events of "Convergence at Gravity Falls" takes place before Weirdmageddon.

* DemonicPossession: Aku resurrects Bill and inhabits his body, ironically making this a case where a demon possesses another demon. While Bill is aware of Aku's presence and still retains his own will, it's implied that Aku is ultimately in control, like when he compels Bill to go to [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Beach City]] to retrieve another fragment of his essence.

** After failing to stop Jack and Ashi from going back to the past, Aku remembers that he had a contingency plan for this. He has his scientists send fragments of his dark essence to multiple worlds across the multiverse with little time to spare before his timeline is erased. He may have failed in his world, but he made sure he'll rise again in another...

On the other hand, Rick does make a good case about wanting to deal with another Aku fragment at Beach City first to study it which in the end, Bill is able to retrieve it.

* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Bill decides to leave the Earth alone and rule the rest of the Universe since Rick poses too much of a threat to him.

Team Teen is a series of animated shorts portraying all cartoon heroes all living (mostly) in one SharedUniverse.

* AloofAlly: Ben reveals he's this on Team Teen since he expects his partnership with them to be a one-time gig and doesn't want to outshine them. Sonic convinces him to give a chance since despite being the WorldsStrongestMan, he would need some back-up to cover some flaws.

* BeyondTheImpossible: To Bill's horror, [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Rick Sanchez]] develops a solution to destroy Aku that doesn't require Jack's sword.

** The first short has this happen in multiple successions as new heroes enter the fight to save the others.

** [[EldritchAbomination Bill Cipher]] was destroyed in the last episode of ''WesternAnimation/GravityFalls'' when Stan Pines had his mind erased where Bill was trapped in. Then, it's revealed that since Stan was able to regain his memories, that meant Bill survived his destruction. Bill remained trapped in Stan's head until a piece of Aku fully restored him.
* TheChosenOne: As revealed by Moana, Team Teen are meant to fight Aku's remnants.
