* CombinationAttack: At the climax of Sonic and Lilac's fight against the empowered Shade Trooper in Episode 2, the two end up performing a powerful spinning charge attack that appears to be a combination of Sonic's Spin Dash and Lilac's Dragon Boost, delivering a blow so powerful it not only successfully destroys the energy shield around the Shade Trooper, but also knocks the power out of it.

** The second episode, meanwhile, ends with Prince Dail seeking to have the visitors from Sonic's world brought to him for mysterious reasons, with Spade bringing Shadow to him.

* ButtMonkey: Eggman tends to receive the short end of the stick, with him frequently shown to be unable to handle himself in combat and being on the receiving end of comedic slapstick such as bonking his head on the door frame on his way out and falling down from Lilac's Treehouse after failing to climb down the stairs. Plus, there's Sonic and co. making fun of him and bringing up his constant lack of successes in conquering their world.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: In stark contrast to her previous InspectorJavert tendencies in ''VideoGame/FreedomPlanet'', when Neera Li came over to Lilac's Treehouse, searching for Sonic and his friends, she was quite reasonable and understanding, willing to pardon Lilac and her friends for breaking the "stay in your homes" rule, understanding their decision to save Sonic and his friends and choosing to trust their judge of character, and displaying no hostility to them afterwards, as soon as the initial misunderstandings were cleared up. She even was willing to forgive Amy striking her in the head with a hammer, understanding that they were simply being cautious due to being trapped in another world.

''Freedom Fighters'' is a sprite animation series made by user [=MartanisIV=]. Inspired by ''WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosZ'', the series serves as a {{Crossover}} between ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' and ''VideoGame/FreedomPlanet''.

After invading Eggman's base, Infinite managed to crush his forces and defeat Sonic and his friends. Desiring to take powers of the Chaos Emeralds for himself, he ignores Eggman's warnings and opens the storage where the doctor stored all Emeralds in. However, when he tried to collect them, the conflicting energies of the Emeralds and his Phantom Ruby tore a rift in space and time, sending Sonic, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Eggman, and Infinite himself into the distant world of Avalice. Their sudden appearance brings attention of the native beings, including our heroines Lilac, Carol and Milla, who arrived just in time to save the heroes from the disastrous ambush by the remnants of Brevon's robotic forces. Meanwhile, Infinite senses a new source of power in the world and seeks to harness it for his own means.

And the adventure begins...
