The show started off with Kelvin Kibuuka's homemade comic strips presented on A4 sheets of paper that were about 9 to 12 boxes long. These comics were about his friends going on adventures in the fictional world of Multilink (a portmanteau of multicolour and interlink). Originally, these comics were just drawings and they did not have any titles or plots. However, Kelvin started to post them on Instagram until he turned those posts into episodes and originally aired them on IGTV.
The first season aired on May 30th, 2019, with 10 episodes. These episodes were presented as galleries of the show's artwork, with annotations by the creator. This would be the main style of the show up until Season 6. During Season 1, The production company, Multilink Community would be created to properly manage the show. The second season aired on July 22nd, 2019, with 6 episodes. This season would end up being the shortest season of the show, because it would immediately air after the Season 1 finale. The third season aired on September 8th, 2019, with 9 episodes. This was the most long-awaited season because it would introduce a new art style, being CGI, but it was only seen in the first two episodes until it would switch back to the regular 2D style because of people not being able to handle the new style.
The fourth season aired on April 7th, 2020, with only 6 episodes. Unlike Season 2, this season was cut short due to the COVID pandemic. The fifth season aired on October 26th, 2020, with 7 episodes. This season would be more creative with it's art style by putting characters in a real-life environment and having them interact with one another. This would become the most innovative season of the show.
During Season 5, Multilink Community announced that Charlotte in Multilink World would get it's first spinoff series, Agent Wu, which began production in 2021. They also announced that they would be going corporate and were now known as Multilink Corporation.[6] The show would, for the first time, take a 8-month-long break before announcing that Season 6 would air on January 10th, 2022.[7] However, it would not air on IGTV, because by then, Instagram had ditched the IGTV tab and revamped its video format in October 2021 in an effort to focus more on video content.[8] Season 6 would serve as a soft reboot of the show, because it would be the first season to not use the gallery style, but would instead be presented as episodic episodes. It would also mark the slow return of characters from previous seasons, mainly ones that have had smaller roles.[9]
During Season 6, it was also revealed that there would be 2 more spinoff series, one of these being Charlotte & Emilia. This series would be produced in 2022 and would be a comedy set in the same world as the other two series. Charlotte in Multilink World is a British-American web series created by Kelvin Kibuuka and produced by Multilink Community Studios. Set The series is set in a parallel universe, the series universe and follows a young girl named Charlotte Mills living in a sentient-cube-populated world.
The show is centered around the product of interlocking Multilink cubes, a manipulative used in education, specifically mathematics. The first season aired on May 30th,2019 2019, and currently has 6 seasons and 3 spinoff series which are all available on Instagram, Facebook Facebook, and YouTube, as well as the streaming service made for the shows, MCTV.
The show started off with Kelvin Kibuuka's homemade comic strips presented on A4 sheets of paper that were about 9 to 12 boxes long. These comics were about his friends going on adventures in the fictional world of Multilink (a portmanteau of multicolour and interlink). Originally, these comics were just drawings and they did not have any titles or plots. However, Kelvin started to post them on Instagram until he turned those posts into episodes and originally aired them on IGTV.
The first season aired on May 30th, 2019, with 10 episodes. These episodes were presented as galleries of the show's artwork, with annotations by the creator. This would be the main style of the show up until Season 6. During Season 1, The production company, Multilink Community would be created to properly manage the show. The second season aired on July 22nd, 2019, with 6 episodes. This season would end up being the shortest season of the show, because it would immediately air after the Season 1 finale. The third season aired on September 8th, 2019, with 9 episodes. This was the most long-awaited season because it would introduce a new art style, being CGI, but it was only seen in the first two episodes until it would switch back to the regular 2D style because of people not being able to handle the new style.
The fourth season aired on April 7th, 2020, with only 6 episodes. Unlike Season 2, this season was cut short due to the COVID pandemic. The fifth season aired on October 26th, 2020, with 7 episodes. This season would be more creative with it's art style by putting characters in a real-life environment and having them interact with one another. This would become the most innovative season of the show.
During Season 5, Multilink Community announced that Charlotte in Multilink World would get it's first spinoff series, Agent Wu, which began production in 2021. They also announced that they would be going corporate and were now known as Multilink Corporation.[6] The show would, for the first time, take a 8-month-long break before announcing that Season 6 would air on January 10th, 2022.[7] However, it would not air on IGTV, because by then, Instagram had ditched the IGTV tab and revamped its video format in October 2021 in an effort to focus more on video content.[8] Season 6 would serve as a soft reboot of the show, because it would be the first season to not use the gallery style, but would instead be presented as episodic episodes. Charlotte in Multilink World is a British-American web series created by Kelvin Kibuuka and produced by Multilink Community Studios. Set in a parallel universe, the series follows a young girl named Charlotte Mills living in a sentient-cube-populated world.
The show is centered around the product of interlocking Multilink cubes, a manipulative used in education, specifically mathematics. The first season aired on May 30th, 2019 and currently has 6 seasons and 3 spinoff series which are all available on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, as well as the streaming service made for the shows, MCTV.

Origin
The show started off with Kelvin Kibuuka's homemade comic strips presented on A4 sheets of paper that were about 9 to 12 boxes long. These comics were about his friends going on adventures in the fictional world of Multilink (a portmanteau of multicolour and interlink). Originally, these comics were just drawings and they did not have any titles or plots. However, Kelvin started to post them on Instagram until he turned those posts into episodes and originally aired them on IGTV.
History (2019)
The first season aired on May 30th, 2019, with 10 episodes. These episodes were presented as galleries of the show's artwork, with annotations by the creator. This would be the main style of the show up until Season 6. During Season 1, The production company, Multilink Community would be created to properly manage the show. The second season aired on July 22nd, 2019, with 6 episodes. This season would end up being the shortest season of the show, because it would immediately air after the Season 1 finale. The third season aired on September 8th, 2019, with 9 episodes. This was the most long-awaited season because it would introduce a new art style, being CGI, but it was only seen in the first two episodes until it would switch back to the regular 2D style because of people not being able to handle the new style.

The fourth season aired on April 7th, 2020, with only 6 episodes. Unlike Season 2, this season was cut short due to the COVID pandemic. The fifth season aired on October 26th, 2020, with 7 episodes. This season would be more creative with it's art style by putting characters in a real-life environment and having them interact with one another. This would become the most innovative season of the show.
History (2021)
During Season 5, Multilink Community announced that Charlotte in Multilink World would get it's first spinoff series, Agent Wu, which began production in 2021. They also announced that they would be going corporate and were now known as Multilink Corporation.[6] The show would, for the first time, take a 8-month-long break before announcing that Season 6 would air on January 10th, 2022.[7] However, it would not air on IGTV, because by then, Instagram had ditched the IGTV tab and revamped its video format in October 2021 in an effort to focus more on video content.[8] Season 6 would serve as a soft reboot of the show, because it would be the first season to not use the gallery style, but would instead be presented as episodic episodes. It would also mark the slow return of characters from previous seasons, mainly ones that have had smaller roles.[9]

During Season 6, it was also revealed that there would be 2 more spinoff series, one of these being Charlotte & Emilia. This series would be produced in 2022 and would be a comedy set in the same world as the other two series. The other spinoff series, titled The Emily Burrows Show, would also be produced in 2022, after Charlotte & Emilia. In July, it was announced that the show would be getting it's own title theme, titled Fade To You, composed by Alvin Risk.[10][11]In August, it was announced that the show would be switching from it's traditional 4:3 ratio to the most common 16:9 as a way of coping with bigger monitors, such as TVs.
Proposed seasons
There are plans for the show to have a seventh season in 2023, as well as an eighth season in 2024. Right now, it's TBD if those seasons will happen, but it's likely that they will. Additionally, it's also TBD if there will be a ninth season, but it is unlikely that there are plans for that as well.
Premise
Charlotte Mills is a young girl who is best friends with Emily, Brooke, and Maria. The four of them find themselves in a world populated by anthropomorphic multicoloured cubes. Charlotte and her friends must devise strategies to protect themselves from Regina, the story's main antagonist, who plans to control the multilink cubes and use them for her own means. Charlotte and her friends must also navigate the complicated social dynamics of the multilink cube world and find ways to connect with the other humans. Along the way, Charlotte and her friends must figure out how to free themselves and the multilink cubes from Regina's clutches.
Style
The show's art style is 2D, which is why the characters are usually drawn in a cartoonish style. However, in Season 3, the characters were temporarily CGI at the beginning of the season. This was because the show's creators wanted to experiment with the show's art style and see if they could make the characters look more realistic. However, they eventually decided to go back to the 2D style for the remainder of the season. In Season 5, the characters are sometimes seen in a real life environment, mostly in the episodes where they go to different places. However, in the current season 6, the 2D characters are now in a Minecraft environment. This was done to make the show more visually appealing and to make it more interactive for the viewers.
