[[WMG: The epilogue of ''The Soldiers of Halla'' takes place in the Black]]
The Watchers/Solarans gave Bobby, and maybe the other Travelers, a vision in the Black in which they experienced the lives they would have lived if they were truly human, before finally bringing them back to Solara.

* This Troper has noticed NUMEROUS spelling and grammatical errors in the books. Not usually on the first read, due to being sucked into stories, but when I've re-read them I notice a lot.

The core belief of Ravinia is people are not equal, and people with less ability are put into "Horizon Compounds" (read: Concentration Camps). And United Nations okays this?! Given the United Nations in the unaltered timeline strive to put an end of fascism and try to ensure equality of all humans, this goes completely the opposite. But... what if WW2 never happened in this timeline? Since the diverge is in 1937, everything between 1937 and Second Earth is fair game for SD to influence. If Hitler did not invade all those countries and was never brought down forcefully, the world may not have so clearly recognize how bad fascism and concentration camps are. Likewise, if the Civil Rights Movement never occurred, they will still think some people are naturally able to be superior over others. In this way, Ravinian ideology would be more easily accepted.

* Saint Dane is the big cheese like in Gunny's theory. He chooses the Travelers and he plays games with them and everything is an illusion. Saint Dane is just practicing with the Travelers getting them ready for something big that everyone is battling. Yes this is confusing but oh well. And you ask what about all the territories: they're all illusions. If anybody's read ''EndersGame'' it's just like when Ender thinks he's in a game when he isn't he's doing the real thing. But in this it's vise versa. Bobby thinks it's real when it's actually just a game. ~Birthday Wish

Adding a thought.

* That, or Ravinia initially acted like HYDRA did in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse's post-war period, and just came out of the shadows a couple decades earlier.

*This is not likely, considering that Hitler was already well known back in 1937, and the war started two years later. Naymeer was a child at the time, so even with the Traveler ring given to him and his miraculous recovery, it would not have stopped WWII from happening.

[[WMG: The ending of ''The Soldiers of Halla'' is AllJustADream.]]
The ResetButton ending completely contradicting what Press just finished saying about having to preserve the remaining integrity of Halla and the Travelers having to AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence and no longer interfere sounds an awful lot like a Lifelight simulation. Think about it- Bobby marries his high school sweetheart and lives a mundane, but fulfilling, life. He probably didn't want any more adventure after all the time he spent as a Traveler, thus a mundane life. Mark moves away and they don't keep in good contact with each other because the Bobby in Lifelight can't reconcile the meek, nerdy Mark he knew with the battle-hardened piloting badass his friend grew up into, while Bobby always saw Courtney as badass and wouldn't be as likely to realize it was AllADream when she remained badass. He probably didn't recognize his dear uncle because in this simulation he never had an Uncle Press. As for why he gets the journals back, near the end of Bobby's life the Travelers needed to make sure he could remember he was one of them. Either that, or it's just his mind finally beginning to get what's going on.
