I decided to write this theory in the wake of this fanart created by Khialat, with him headcanoning that all giraffes in The Owl House world are actually monsters from different realm, which I didn't liked since I started to headcanon after seeying this comment under this fanart that Boiling Isles giraffes are actually different species of creatures than Earth giraffes (that and the fact that I don't want such beautiful and gentle animals like giraffes to actually be eldritch monsters from different realm).

...is that Amity constantly tried to get her into the books back when they were friends. Boscha disdained this, but Amity would read it aloud to her all the time, to the point that Boscha knows it by heart despite hating it.

[[WMG: Boiling Isles giraffes are different species than Earth giraffes.]]
If you know the history of evolution, then you know that modern giraffes (''Giraffa'') have evolved from the now extinct giraffid ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohlinia Bohlinia]]'', meaning that giraffes in ''Owl House'' and ''Amphibia'' ([[SharedUniverse since these two shows share the same world]]) universe aren't all monsters that camed to Earth from the Demon World ergo. Boiling Isles giraffes are different species from Earth giraffes, who evolved similar looking shape to Earth giraffes, making them able to disguise as normal giraffes. In fact, the giraffe that scared Hexsquad in ''[[Recap/TheOwlHouseS3E1ThanksToThem Thanks To Them]]'' was [[LastOfHisKind one of the last demon giraffes left]].

So we know that the water in the Boiling Isles is very dangerous, with Hunter saying that the steam from the boiling sea is hot enough to cause third-degree burns. Despite this, Amity mentioned her and Willow taking swimming lessons when they were younger at Lake Lacuna. It may be possible that, much like the freshwater lakes in the Human Realm, the Demon Realm may have bodies of water that aren't boiling.

They almost got their sister killed themselves during the library incident. And though the relationship between the siblings had improved since then, they knew their mother was a whole other level as far as her ruthlessness. Maybe Emira decided to secretly take up healing in case her or her siblings got to a worst-case-scenario with Odalia.

He still despised all demons and witches and wanted to kill them all, but he loved the power it gave him, ever since Luz showed him that Glyph. He's basically on a power trip for the whole show.

[[WMG:Emira learning healing magic wasn't out of interest, but out of concern]]
It wouldn't be surprising if the twins found out about what happened in the climax of "Escaping Expulsion" either through sneaking a peek for themselves or Amity telling them about it afterward. They knew about past presentations involving Mittens being staged. So hearing that Odalia almost killed Luz this time around, with a possibility of Amity getting seriously hurt, may have been a wake up call for them.

Because they might be of the belief that ceremonial/legal marriages are yet another form of authority taking control of the masses and that living together (along with the related arrangements) should be entirely up to the people involved alone. According to the last Post Hoot they are now living together yet haven't tied the knot, so it's possible that they might elect to be in a CommonLawMarriage.

* Counterpoint: Because Philip was from the 17th century, he predates the modern understanding of sexual orientations. People of Philip's time thought of "sodomy" (same-sex sexual activity) as a vice – so even if he were gay, he wouldn't view himself that way.
** Notably, Emperor Belos seemingly doesn't enforce ''any'' Puritan culture or religious practices for the population of the Boiling Isles. It's possible that he doesn't bother because he figures that its population of witches and demons is all damned to Hell anyway.

Philip wanted to stamp out all magic and didn’t want to risk of his own protege usurping him. Plus the idea of a homunculus made in his brother’s image with the power to use magic would likely drive him even further into insanity.

[[WMG:King is an actual King Of Demons]]
The pilot is a BaitAndSwitch; King has LaserGuidedAmnesia about who he used to be, perhaps because he was too dangerous when restored to full power. That's why he's no longer a threat. Once he gets his full memory, his powers return. If Eda knows, she's taking care of King to make sure he never has the incentive to regain his memories or his powers, by satisfying him with a paper crown. If she doesn't know, Eda is practicing AndroclesLion inadvertently.

[[WMG:By the end of the series, Luz will physically become a witch - bile sac and all]]
Going off of an above theory that the Boiling Isles were originally settled by humans that gradually changed into the modern witch species, Luz's time on the Boiling Isles and constant use of glyph magic will stimulate the creation of her own magical bile sac that allows casting of spell circles. She will have achieved her goal of becoming a witch in every sense.

While she does genuinely love and care about her mother, it's heavily implied that Camila is the *only* person in her own world she really cares about, while she has many more connections in the Boiling Isles. [[WMG: King's species did not spawn from the Titans.]]
Unlike all the other demons, King's species actually predates the Titans and--judging by some of the murals seen in "Echoes of the Past"--may have been responsible for killing them all in the first place.
* This theory is supported in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", which implies that King and his father are unlike every other demon on the Boiling Isles.

[[WMG:Eda is a lich, or some other undead creature.]]
We know she isn't human, but after meeting the Hexside students, she's still pretty weird. Her fangs, incredibly pale skin and ability to reattach severed limbs points towards undeath. Perhaps she's a victim of the Salem Witch Trials or some European witch hysteria. After being executed for witchcraft, real or alleged, she returned either a vampire or zombie.
* "Adventures in the Elements" implies she has a garlic allergy, but since it's mild, she may only be ''half'' vampire.
