*** Keep in mind he's only alleged to have described it that way. I like the theory above for the most part, but I was always under the impression that Dark Side's were the Heartless of worlds and that Twilight Thorns were their Nobodies, and based off this theory, the sane soul of a world would be the collective unconscious of that worlds inhabitants, which is either something created by the presence of a large number of Souls (meaning sane souls) in one place or which is present in advance and influences the individual Souls of its inhabitants. Whatever the corresponding Soul to the Heart that is Kingdom Hearts would thus be the collective unconscious for all worlds. Basically, TheForce.

They started with a video game because it's somewhat less mainstream. Eventually they'll build on the franchise and eventually work a canon gay couple in, while in the meanwhile working in more and more HoYay and LesYay in other forms of media, getting up to AmbiguouslyGay couples slowly enough that homophobic MoralGuardians won't raise too much of a fuss... all building up to not only a giant step forward for equality but the ''ultimate'' moneymaker: [[GirlsLove A Disney movie with two princesses]].

*** Worth noting the obvious fact that Marluxia's running heavily on death and plant/flower motifs, and lo, so does Leechgrave. Marluxia has consistent GrimReaper designs to him, from first appearing as a hooded, faceless black cloak to Graceful Dahlia, his scythe; he has power over plants, particularly flowers, though we barely see more than him blowing flower petals about. Leechgrave is a giant plant with a huge pink flower atop it, a flower that is like a greyed version of Marluxia's hair or like a greying cherry blossom (his original flower motif); it possesses a coffin as part of its body. Leechgrave also does what it can to stop you from getting at its main body, which will attack you if you get too near it anyway. JustForPun, it's chained up- Marluxia is from Chain of Memories. Marluxia was indeed seen as a poison of O-XIII, hence why he was sent to die in Castle Oblivion. He was bringing other members around to an idea that did not befit [[spoiler: the true goal of]] Organisation XIII and planning to overthrow Xemnas. Further, you could attribute "poison" and what it does to Marluxia's plan for Sora, with the poison affecting Sora's memories and heart, rather than his health and strength. Marluxia also more or less leeches onto others' abilities to get his job done. While powerful in his own right, a lot of his plan hinges on Vexen and his ability to make perfect replicas and on Namine and her power over memories- Marluxia himself is just the person pulling the strings. He himself contributes little to the things that are needed to carry out the plan and once YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness, or you go out of bounds, Marluxia has you executed, as Vexen can attest to. This fits in neatly with Leechgrave's consuming of other Heartless. It's also worth noting that Leechgrave is an Emblem Heartless, meaning it was not created the way Heartless naturally are. It's implied that the first eight members of Organization XIII (except Xemnas) did NOT willingly have their hearts torn from their bodies and that Xehanort did it. Emblem Heartless were those created by Xehanort, so if we assume that every member but Roxas had their hearts taken out by Xehanort, then the first twelve members have Emblem Heartless. So Marluxia could well have Leechgrave.

Bonus Boss is a disambiguation

There was a spoileriffic (and therefore spoilered) brand new theory: The Bonus Boss, "Unknown", is Luxord. While this theory was jossed, there is very decisive proof that there could be a connection - namely, the following eight facts:

Adding WMG

Added DiffLines:

[[WMG: Alternately, most of the FF characters are Nobodies of the originals who developed new hearts.]]
It was mentioned in 3D I believe and implied in Days that Nobodies develop new hearts over time. It's possible that Leon, Yuffie, Aerith and Cid, as well as Tidus, Wakka and Selphie (and maybe YRP as well) had their homeworlds destroyed and lost their hearts. Leon, Aerith, Yuffie and Cid ended up in Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion and later evacuated to Traverse Town, while Tidus, Wakka and Selphie ended up in Twilight Town and were adopted as they emerged as kids. This also explains how some of them are so different from their originals - they've all retained different amounts of their original selves.
Aerith's the dainty, caring sagely woman in KH, which would suggest a late-game LoH as early-FF7 Aerith was a bit of a party girl.
Leon's somewhere inbetween his "Whatever." spouting tough guy mask and the more emotional and sociable commander, so he probably had his LoH during the Balamb Garden mobilisation.
Cid had his before the rocket's first launch, as he's considerably less volatile than FF7 Cid.
Yuffie had her LoH before the troubles in Wutai (I forget exactly what, but it involved Shinra) as she's not that money-obsessed.
Tidus, Wakka and Selphie, judging by their child selves, had theirs when they were kids - and in the altered continuity, Selphie's LoH may have been the catalyst for FF8 Cid to start the Garden plans. This also means it's difficult to tell how they've changed, as we never saw them as children (aside from Selphie, who I recall was pretty much as KH1 Selphie is.)
Zack, likewise, lost his heart, though I can't say when as I've not played Crisis Core.
Auron was killed by something other than Heartless, and once the Farplane was lost, along with the entire afterlife system around Spira, his soul was pulled into Hades as the next best thing.

As Cloud and Tifa remain near-identical to the originals (Cloud's brooding may be justified as having trauma from Sephiroth's influence/actions during the world's destruction) and probably managed to use Cid's rocket to escape the world before it was destroyed.

Yaoi Guys has been made a disambig page

** Not if they make up for it with a ''canon'' set of YaoiGuys or at least two new (or 1 new + Riku) guy + even more HoYay + ShipTease mercilessly + no girls interfering there. (That would be my ideal situation; they could also make up for it by pairing Kairi off with someone else en route, thereby freeing up Sora and Riku for each other, but I prefer to imagine the first.)

* Or maybe he'll bring the Orgy back in their original bodies, sans mind/will/thought, and simply be [[TheDragon The Dragon]] in the background. This would fit perfectly in a KH plot- bringing back [[EnsembleDarkhorse the Orgy]] and making a huge deal about a Nobody gaining a sense of self and pulling a [[HeelFaceTurn Heel Face Turn]]. Or maybe I am [[TVTropesWillRuinYourLife online far too much and should really finish that group project]]...

In Kingdom Hearts 1 it is found in a treasure chest in the room where you fight Riku in Castle Oblivion. The reason Riku has the Way to the Dawn now is because Keyblades can evole in appearance as shown by both Aqua's and Terra's default forms evolving by the end of Birth by Sleep.

** I think... Roxas is not Sora's Nobody. Roxas is ''Ven's'' Nobody. If so, this actually clears up a few EarlyInstallmentWeirdness aspects- like how Kairi is able to bring Sora back from being a Heartless, why Sora's Heartless is able to retain his sense of self, why Roxas is identical to Ven in every way, and why Roxas is allowed to coexist alongside Sora when this is not true for ''any other Nobody'' save for Namine and Kairi. It also completely explains why Sora's heart, when released, does not look like other hearts when they're released... but ''is'' identical to the hearts released by the Princesses of Heart, which are all pure light. Most hearts when released look like, well, hearts. Reddish-pink crystal-looking hearts with a trail of light and dark around them. But Sora releases two spheres of pure light. Two hearts of pure light. This actually implies what Sora released was not his own heart, but Ventus's, as Ven's heart is pure light at this time. If he's Ven's Nobody, then that would explain why ''only'' Namine and Roxas are able to exist alongside their Somebody- they are both born of a heart of pure light.

light from a body that ''is not theirs''. Which means that they lack the usual pieces of reforming a Somebody- no Heartless as they lack darkness, and because the body they were made from is not their own, they are also not "empty husks" like other Nobodies. This raises the question of where Sora's heart went. The answer is it didn't go anywhere. Sora retained who he was (mostly) as a Heartless because he never lost the light in his heart. Because (hypothetically) Sora never became a proper Heartless, this means he never became a proper Nobody, either.
