[[WMG: Hershey will die.]]
John Wagner has recently hinted that he's going to kill a major character. Since Dredd's death was faked after "The Grindstone Cowboys", it's unlikely it will be him. Changes in Chief Judges have an almost deliberate habit of occurring during the same year as the RealLife U.S. presidential elections.

[[WMG: Movie Judge Dredd is [[SingleTargetSexuality Lawsexual]].]]
It seems to be the only thing he cares about and all the weird ways he pronounces it can be seen as {{Affectionnate Nickname}}s.

Just look at their ideas of justice- if you can't apprehend them, you can still torture them!

** Could well be, given that Death is the FinalBoss of the VideoGame adaptation, several levels after Dredd defeats Rico.

* It's closer to the source material than the film is. It makes more sense because Dredd keeps his helmet on, [[TheScrappy Fergie is absent]] [[spoiler: and Judge Death appears as the FinalBoss.]]

Their Earth-like planet was colonised waaaaaaay back when the Emperor was still alive, but got cut off from the rest of the universe by a big warp storm. When it subsided, the planet was forgotten by all the Imperium and civilisation underwent an evolution parallel to Earth's history up to the late twentieth century, then split off into the JudgeDredd timeline. When people looked for a new emblem for the Judges, faint memories, generations old, reminded them of the Adeptus Arbites and the eagle symbol. They chose Fargo as a very distant version of the GodEmperor, for he founded them.

* Some similarities occur between both universes: A nuclear war in the 2070s, radscorpions as a species (and mutants in general), auto-docs, a [[TheFaceless Faceless]] KnightTemplar who is MadeOfIron, was nearly burnt to death and carries a HandCannon, BlackComedy. The difference? The transistor was invented in the Dreddverse.

* Since a few writers of ''Judge Dredd'' strips have gone on to write ''Warhammer 40,000'' books, there's probably a bit more influence there now.

* Well this makes some sense, given that GamesWorkshop has often admitted that JudgeDredd was a major influence.
