[[WMG: Daria's show takes place in the 2011 revival of WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButthead which is an alternate continuity from the B&B universe-proper.]]

During a music video of the 2011 revival, she was mentioned by Butt-head as having moved away, which was a nod to her having her own show. Additionally, in the 2022 revival, starting with ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtheadDoTheUniverse'', Daria was still shown to be in Highland by the time of 1998, whereas Daria's show started in 1997 in terms of real life airdate and presumably in-universe time as well and her overall fate in the 2022 revival is left unmentioned. One possible conclusion we could come to is that the Daria in this show was always a character in a different universe and the Beavis and Butt-head she interacted with were also alternate versions of the duo, since her moving away was at least acknowledged by the 2011 revival.

** The only thing that would be a strike-out on this is it's based on a misconception that rape is based on attraction. It's very likely Beavis and Butt-Head, if this theory were to be true, could've just done this to score or exert power. But as you said... their physical strength is below average and there have been plenty of time women have beaten them up when they tried to get fresh with them.

** He actually wasn't teaching a lesson on Vietnam, though he did mention his respect for those who died in it. He mentioned this due to Kevin mixing up the Mexican and Vietnam wars. But that just adds further fuel to this theory, since it means he wasn't teaching it just to meet standards, but rather pointed out said respect out of his own volition.

[[WMG: "Depth Takes a Holiday" was Daria's hallucination brought on by medication.]]

In this episode, Quinn, when informed by Daria of the holidays that they are staying in her room, asks to Daria, "Are you taking some kind of experimental depression medicine?" Daria denies it, but it's quite possible that, unbeknownst to her, her desperate parents had given her some medication to "lift her mood", causing hallucinations with all the consequences seen in the episode.

[[WMG: Daria is asexual.]]

She clearly isn't aromantic, as her feelings for Trent and Tom were both clearly very genuine, but her desire to be with them doesn't seem to involve sex. Even when she and Tom have been dating for a while and it's going well and decide to have sex, Daria seems to want to have sex to "get it over with," rather than because she particularly ''wants'' to. She's old enough that it may not just be her being a late bloomer--it's very possible Daria just isn't wired that way, even if she doesn't know it yet or have the language to describe it.

[[WMG: Daria never liked Tom]]
* Her entire relationship with Tom was a way for her to punish herself - and Tom - for her betrayal of Jane.

** The only way that would work is with an amicable split between Mack and Jodie. If the two were dating out of a sense of "the two black kids have to be together" they could decide that they are done with the charade and move on, simply being friends afterwards. That way, Mack would be available to Daria or Jane.
** Jodie could date Tom. The two belong to the same social class, their families were friends, he would make a good trophy groom, and he wouldn't have the drawbacks of a relationship with Daria.
