The Pro-Choice cop would be a loose Rick Grimes expy, the mildy autistic security guard would be Glenn with Aspergers, the Muslim feminist would be a Pro-Life version of Michonne, the macho fireman would be a loose Expy of Shane, the Emotionally repressed policewoman is basically be Cassie Hack if she had a boyfriend and was trying her damnedest to conceal her inner madness, the drug dealer would try so hard to be a parody of Ed, the kid the protagonist was baby-sitting would be a CaptainErsatz of Carl Grimes, and the protagonist himself is basically Shaun if he worked as a baby-sitter.
** In addition, The Pro-Choice Cop and the Pro-Life Muslim would occasionally clash.

* The Wasabi equivalent is a butcher who happens to be obsessed with Samurai History. His main weapons are a Kitchen Knife and a Katana.
* The Hiro equivalent would somehow have invented an Iron Man-like suit prior to the outbreak...and uses it to protect his friends and his girlfriend, the Honey Lemon expy.
** Also, maybe even a POV Sequel set in New York with a Spider-Man cosplayer (or at the very least, a cosplayer dressing up as what-ever is the in-universe equivalent of Spider-Man) as one of the survivors.

Keep in mind, in my idea, semi-futuristic technology exists due to a time-skip, so the Cosplayers may have weapons related to the characters they are cosplaying....

** Fair enough, but I was thinking making original gay characters, like, say, a loose Expy of Bill from the Last of Us, or a gay rights activist who has to team up with a conservative traditionalist in order to fight the zombies.

** Or, in a twist that wouldn't be too out of place, Lucy realize that both men aren't good for her and she breaks up with both of them. Then Clint and Wade end up becoming a couple.

In this idea, she'll consider that Clint was a bit manipulative....but she will also consider that Wade was not exactly innocent either.
