As stated in the WMG page of ''WesternAnimation/AnExtremelyGoofyMovie'', the reason Roxanne didn't appear in that movie could be because she and Max were attending separate schools and pursuing different interests. Once they graduated, they got back together and tied the knot, or are at least living in their own place (which is why Max hasn't appeared lately in any Disney media [[note]] apart from a few photos in ''WesternAnimation/Ducktales2017'')[[/note]]. And if you're wondering about Roxanne's BoyfriendBlockingDad, he eventually got along with Max, realizing the latter truly does love his daughter and isn't as goofy as, well, Goofy himself.

[[WMG: Roxanne's dad made her break up with Max because of his association with Goofy]]
The reason he doesn't like Max is because he happens to be the son of the local idiot. The movie even ends with Goofy crashing through the roof of their front porch (pretty expensive property damage) just moments after he slams the door on Max. The idea of that goofball's son dating his daughter did ''not'' sit well for him.

[[WMG: If Max had tweaked the map a ''little'' more...]]
By changing the route to detour them to L.A. and ''then'' head back on the road to Lake Destiny, Goofy probably wouldn't have taken it so badly -- he ''had'' said Max could be in charge of where they stopped from then on, and a simple detour on the way to their ultimate destination likely would have been accepted. The main reason he snapped was because he saw Max had Los Angeles as their ''last'' stop rather than the lake.

Pistol died in a car accident that Peg was also in. Peg survived, but she became [[SurvivorsGuilt guilt-ridden that her little girl died while she was "allowed" to live.]] Because of the guilt eating at her, Peg became less stable and eventually had to go into a home for affected people. Pete, unable to cope with losing his daughter and his wife's sanity, ended up divorcing Peg after she went into the home. Pete is more of a JerkAss in the movie because he's dealing with his own guilt of not being able to help his own wife, and PJ is more blindly loyal to his father because he's scared of losing his last remaining family.

Not all strained marriages end in divorce. Some couples just separate from one another for a brief period of time.

** The more possible chance (consider the age , era and that TV special backing about 80s or 90s , which was a clip show of old shorts that souring the idea of Goofy telling old family advantures to Max.) is that , "George Geef" from the old shorts , are in fact Max's granddad(or some relative from that generation.) And Goofy we know today is George Jr.)
(The "George Geef" era is around 50s , so Junior would be around the age of college at disco 70s(like how today's Goofy was at according to the second movie.) , got married and have Max at 80s , than early 90s GoofTroop , mid-late 90 "first movie" , late90s-early00s "second movie")

** What makes this more likely isn't the lack of Roxanne--Max was clearly single in college anyway, unless he was [[YourCheatingHeart cheating]]--but the lack of Sylvia. Also, ''Once Upon a Christmas'' appears to be a similar but inexact continuity to ''WesternAnimation/GoofTroop'' given that Pete appears to be single and without children (hard evidence) and that Max and Goofy already live in his neighborhood ([[MultipleChoicePast soft]] [[SeriesContinuityError evidence]]).

[[WMG: Goofy and Max are the only members of their family still alive and have been for a while.]]
While this can most likely be chalked up to the movie simply not having time to address these matters, neither Goofy or Max refer to Goofy's father as "grandpa," which seems to indicate that Max never knew his grandfather, nor is there any ever mention of other relatives who might have learned anything about his grandfather from. Goofy simply refers to their extended family as "generations," implying that Max never knew any of them personally, either because they're all dead, splintered off from one another or both. It would explain both their characters as well: Goofy is as dotting and protective a father as he is because Max is all his has, while Max fears figuratively turning into his father because that's his only frame of reference to his overall family.
[[WMG: Even if she and Max don't stay together, Roxanne gets along with Goofy like a house on fire throughout their relationship.]]
She loves Max's quirks, she'd presumably love the man who made him that way, and despite his obnoxiousness, Goofy is a ''very'' caring person.

[[WMG: Goofy dose know Power line, Max just didn't ask.]]
Why else would he allow them to crash his concert? In my mind Powerline was a few years younger than Goof in college (who he would know as George), but they were good friends until Goofy had to drop out to support his family. Goofy didn't make the connection since the guy he knew was a shy, quiet freshmen.

It would halved served as a midquel to A goofy movie, and an extremely goofy movie. Principal Mazur would halved returned to do everything in his power to harm Goofy and his son Max for ending up on stage with Powerline, and possibly kill Max. But he would've fail, and either get sent to prison, or a asylum. Or he would halved been killed off.

Roxanne looks human in almost every way, except for her dog-like nose. She evidently takes her looks mostly from her mother as she doesn’t look very much like her father. We never see what her mother looks like so it’s possible she could be fully human (or perhaps she herself is a dog/human hybrid).

* Perhaps that's also true with Pete. The original Pete is really his father and the current Pete from the series is Pete Junior (introduced in the short ''Bellboy Donald'') grown up. This is evident considering the personality differences between the original Pete Junior and PJ.
