* AssholeVictim: Moku is a [[{{Jerkass}} jerkass]] who uses people for her own benefit. She also has to suffer [[spoiler:Oppai, her older sister, abusing her on a daily basis at her house]], which includes forcing Moku [[spoiler:inside a ''septic tank'']].

* CrazyEnoughToWork: Kuuru can potentially come up with a plan to [[spoiler:glide across a giant sewer pit]] with a ''poncho''. It ''works''.

* BeachEpisode: Can potentially happen in Genki's route, with her, Tuu, Kuuru, and her sister Genko all playing volleyball.
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Averted during [[spoiler:Tuu's and Genki's]] fistfight early on in the story; Whoever loses gets their face seriously messed up.

** Oppai, the main characters' teacher and Moku's older sister, ''despises'' it when Moku misbehaves, whether it's [[spoiler:being late for dinner or even inviting ''friends'' over to their house]].

* BullyTurnedBuddy: [[spoiler:Moku and Genki]] to Tuu depending on the route.

* CerebusRollercoaster: Depending on which love interest the player pursues, the point in the story, and the ending that they get, the tone can be anywhere between lighthearted and comedic to [[spoiler:downright depressing and even horrific]].

* CoolShades: Moku wears brown-tinted shades when she and Tuu sell drugs, and red-tinted ones later on. Aniki and [[spoiler:Sensei/Kochi]] each sport a black opaque pair.

* TheDayTheMusicLied: If the player chooses to [[spoiler:fight the unseen creature that confronts Tuu and Kuuru in the sewer]], then the funky and upbeat "Face Punch" plays... until Tuu starts charging at it blindly.

* BackForTheFinale: After being absent for the whole game, [[spoiler:Sensei returns to tell the girls about [[GainaxEnding their new mission]]]] in two of the three routes.

* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Averted during Tuu's and Genki's [[spoiler:fistfight. Whoever loses gets their face messed up, especially Tuu]].

* BullyTurnedBuddy: Moku and Genki to Tuu, each on their respective routes.
* ButThouMust: A couple instances occur:
** There's a scene Tuu and Moku must cross a river, which the game gives the player five Oregon Trail-style choices in how to proceed. Only one of these actually progresses the plot.
** When Tuu and Kuuru [[spoiler:fall into the sewer and have to make a torch, there's an option to search some debris]]. Unfortunately, they don't find anything useful, and the game loops back to the previous options.

* AmbiguousTimePeriod: According to Prof. Balsawood at the start of the game, the story takes place in the year 201X.
* AnimationBump: [[spoiler:Moku's transformation into Neko Neko Princess]] is animated much better than the rest of the game.

* GenreBusting: The game initially seems like just a [[DatingSim dating sim]]. However, depending on the route the game can also become a [[RaisingSim raising sim]] or even ''[[SciFiHorror sci-fi horror]]''.

* StoryBranching: The largest branch happens about an hour in; Depending on whether or not the player wins the spelling bee on top of their (potential) choice afterwards, they'll do either Moku's, Genki's, or Kuuru's route.

** Moku's route: Tuu replaces Genki as Moku's best friend.
** Genki's route: Moku denounces Genki as her friend due to the latter ''truly'' becoming friends with Tuu, and Genki becomes depressed as a result.
** Kuuru's route: Moku and Genki abandon Tuu, prompting Kuuru to pity her and the two to become friends.

* EvolvingTitleScreen: See [[BraggingRightsReward]] above.

* WhamLine: If Tuu and Moku confess their feelings for each other [[spoiler:and have sex]], then some time afterward Moku drops this bombshell on Tuu:

* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Averted during Tuu's and Genki's fistfight. Whoever loses gets their face messed up, especially Tuu.

* CurbStompBattle: Genki can potentially give [[spoiler: Player Tuu]] a ''nasty'' beat-down, to the point where the latter ''vomits'' from getting punched so much.

* DemotedToExtra:
** Emo only has a handful of appearances throughout the game, even being totally absent in Kuuru's route.
** Sensei doesn't show up at all... [[spoiler:until the end of Moku's and Kuuru's routes]].
