* MismatchedEyes: Richard, [[spoiler: Asbel]]

* PowerPerversionPotential: [[spoiler:Lambda's ability to [[DemonicPossession possess other people]] ]] has already inspired much fan art and doujinshi. The HoYay does not help one bit.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: Er, reverse foreshadowing? At the end of the original game, [[spoiler: there's a kid that looks like Asbel shown with a woman that looks like Sophie. However, given that Sophie cannot age, some fans were left speculating who it was.]] Then comes ''Graces f'' and Lineage to the Future, where it's shown [[spoiler:that Sophie fused with Little Queen to gain than appearance.]] So they were foreshadowing a remake? Better not suggest that to the angry fans with the buggy Wii "beta"

** Although now that Lineage to the Future is out, it clears things up a bit. [[spoiler: Sophie, who is an existence that will outlive all of her friends, tells Cheria that she doesn't mind this and her dream is to live and enjoy life alongside Asbel and Cheria's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so forth.]]

* BonusBoss: Where to even start?! There's all the bosses of the [[BonusDungeon Zone Cage]], including the traditional ''TalesSeries'' cameo battles, and the three legendary dragons you have to beat to unlock Floor 10. Then there's the final boss of the Zone Cage, [[spoiler:Solomos]]. Beat him, and the FinalBoss of the normal story gets [[TrueFinalBoss a new name and a huge stat-boost]]. Rockgagan takes up half the screen, comes with a twenty-minute time limit, disables Blast Calibers and is generally so tough that most players use a cheap OneHitKill method. ''Tales of Graces f'' not only adds more bonus bosses (such as [[spoiler:Poisson]]) but buffs the existing bonus bosses by doing things like, oh, giving [[spoiler:Solomos]] a second Blast Caliber that he can use to counter any item usage if he's under 5% health.
* BrickJoke: If Malik uses a certain Blast Calibur to finish off [[spoiler:Lambda]] he will say that will be the last enemy he uses that technique on. If you use it again as a finisher on the PS3 exclusive TimeSkip, Sophie will call him out on it.

* RedMage: Cheria's weapons of choice are knives and her focus is on magic of ''both'' offensive and healing varieties, but leaning more towards healing.
** Pascal and Hubert. Pascal is able to deal damage with her weapons, buff allies, deal damage with melee-range spells, and even gets a healign spell. Hubert meanwhile deals damage with his weapons, learns some magic (including a healing spell) and deals ranged damage with his guns.

* StanceSystem: Every playable character switches between two different sets of artes (apparently being called Alpha and Beta), each using a different style [for example, Cheria switches between throwing knives (her Alpha artes) and light spells (her Beta artes), likewise, Asbel switches between a combo of sheath bunts and kicks (Alpha artes) and sword combat (Beta artes)].
* StandardFemaleGrabArea: Reimon just grabs Cheria by one arm and she suddenly forgets that she can fight. Of course, [[DistressedDamsel you have to rescue her.]]
** Might make more sense than usual given that she's the resident WhiteMage and has the lowest attack rating of any party member.
*** [[GameplayAndStorySegregation Still doesn't explain why]] [[PlotInducedStupidity she didn't think to pull her knife]] from the HammerSpace to at least stab the guy.
*** [[FridgeBrilliance He was holding her knife arm. She also puts her hands together in a prayer-motion to cast magic, too.]] The guy was clearly GenreSavvy.
*** She did use both her hands when she uses some of her artes you know...and you don't really need to use your strong arm to stab with a knife.
*** [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation Maybe she just let herself be kidnapped on purpose to rub it in Asbel's face that he kind of sucks at the whole "protecting people you care about" thing]]. Because [[MemeticMutation the internet hasn't]] [[SarcasmMode done that enough]].

** Pascal sounds a bit like this on paper. A mage with a ranged weapon and spells with casting time. Sounds like a ranged fighter? Nope - she runs right up into melee range for her magic.

* FakeDifficulty: The fight with [[BonusBoss Rockgagan]]. Sure, Rockgagan easily stands beside the [[TalesOfVesperia Spiral Draco]] as one of Tale's hardest bosses, but to disable [[LimitBreak Blast Calibers]]? Really?

* LastMinuteHookup: The [[spoiler:Asbel/Cheria]] pairing is often accused of being this, but YourMileageMayVary.
** Regardless this pairing does make the most sense considering their relationship. Not all romantic relationship have to have drama and conflict and all that crap but [[RealityIsUnrealistic since this is fiction]], you kinda wish it did. In the end, character popularity have a lot to do with people's opinion.
