* MarathonLevel: The Raya Race. Dear God. It takes you about a quarter of the way around the largest island in Panau, and can easily take twenty minutes to complete, while most races in the game take only three or four minutes, tops. To make matters worse, even though they give you a sports car at the beginning, you'll be driving the wrong way down a highway. You'll also ''need'' that sports car if you hope to make it through, so if you crash or get the car off road (which can easily happen thanks to the loose driving physics at high speeds), you practically have to start over.

** Yet those jet fighters pale in comparison to sport cars. Those cars are [[CoolCar very fast, look extremely pretty]]... and have steering so ridiculously sensitive they become almost impossible to drive at high speeds. In the PC version, at least.
** To a lesser extent, the AH-33 Topachula attack helicopter. It looks much more awesome than the [[BoringButPractical UH-10 Chippewa scout helicopter]], and always comes with rocket launchers. But it can't take much more damage and turns ridiculously slow, meaning those scout choppers will often tear it to shreds.
* AwesomeYetPractical: The grappling hook, obviously. It can be used as a quick form of transportation, a weapon, and all kinds of VideoGameCrueltyPotential, and it's easily used.
