* ComebackMechanic:
** The Orb in Warfare mode allows instant node conquering and node shielding if the node is already taken.
** The Support nodes in the (official) Warfare maps have a gimmick which allows the losing team to either recover territory or turn the tide of the war. There are also barricades which can be destroyed with either the Redeemer or the Shaped Charge.
*** WAR-Avalanche: With the Shaped Charge you can trigger an [[MeaningfulName avalanche]] which destroys your Prime Node and the East and West nodes. The East and West nodes, while being hold after 60 seconds, drain the enemy Prime node.
*** [=WAR-ColdHarbor=]: The only way to damage and destroy the cores is by way of the Hilltop Node. After being held, a missile is being fired from afar and a countdown starts. Once the countdown finishes, the enemy core is hit by 25%.
*** WAR-Confrontation: Holding the Air Node starts a 60-sec countdown after which a Leviathan spawns in the holding team's base.
*** WAR-Downtown: Holding the Tank node spawns a Goliath.
*** WAR-Downtown_Necris: Holding the Nightshade node spawns a Nightshade and a pair of Mantas while the Center node provides a Goliath.
*** WAR-Dusk: Holding both the East Mine and West Mine nodes open the hangar and gives access to the Cicada to the holding team.
*** [=WAR-FloodGate=]: Holding the [[MeaningfulName Floodgate]] node starts a countdown after which the enemy core takes 20% of damage and raises the water level in the enemy base.
*** WAR-Hostile: The only way for the Blue Team to destroy (and only destroy) the node is by conquering the Uplink node. After it is taken, a countdown starts after which the Red Core is destroyed entirely.
*** WAR-Islander and WAR-Islander_Necris: The Air Node provides a pair of Raptors.
*** [=WAR-MarketDistrict=]: Holding both the East and West nodes simultaneously exposes the enemy core.
*** [=WAR-OnyxCoast=]: Holding the Bridge Control node will raise the bridge if in possession of the Blue Team and lower it if in possession of the Red Team.
*** [=WAR-PowerSurge=]: Holding the Mine Node starts a countdown after which the enemy core takes 20% damage.
*** WAR-Serenity and WAR-Serenity_Necris: Holding the Mine Node starts a countdown after which the possessing team receives a Leviathan.
*** [=WAR-TankCrossing=]: Holding the Bridge Control node raises the holding team's bridge and lowers the enemy team's. The tanks need to sit in pressure plates in order to open the blast door and be able to destroy the enemy core.
*** WAR-Torlan: In any link setup, holding the unoccupied nodes gives access to vehicles.

** The ''Tarydium Minigun'' replaces the standard gatling seen in the first two games. Instead of bullets, it fires shards of the local {{Phlebotinum}}; the longer you hold down the trigger, the higher the rate of fire. Alt-fire reduces your output but gives you semi-homing shots that impart physical momentum and push the victim around.
