Duplicates also work for Relic and Epic Units, but those require the even rarer Relic Paper Disk and Epic Paper Doll, respectively, to Limit Break without a duplicate.

** Jo'on and Shion are portrayed as a cooperative SiblingTeam. In the canon games, Jo'on is extremely abusive towards Shion, and the only reason she lets her tag along because Jo'on benefits from it.

** Yorihime's Last Word is called [[VideoGame/GuiltyGear Yamata no Orochi Install]], where she channels the titular DRAGON god.

** Lr, a [[WhenDimensionsCollide composite universe]] Yukari created for the sole purpose of giving the protagonist strong allies to fight for her without the use of her journal. * FramingDevice: "The Rebellious Mini-Fantasia" is a kamishibai being told by Koakuma to the fairies at Misty Lake.

** One of Lily White's home screen quotes has the protagonist mention a black fairy herald of spring. Lily says she's never heard of it, but has worn black robes before. This is a nod to ''Phantasmagoria of Flower View'', where she her sprite was dressed in black, causing players to mistake her for a new character nicknamed "Lily Black". Adding on to this, her "Spring is the Season of Growth" costume is similar to her appearance there, though not exact.

** One of Koishi (Subterranean)'s main screen quotes has her meet Kokoro, who gave Koishi a replica of a white mask. In Kokoro's debut game, ''Hopeless Masquerade'', Miko offered Kokoro a replacement mask of hope, which was initially turned down out of fear that Kokoro will just wither away into her component masks.
