* GameplayGrading: In PlatinumGames tradition, of course. You're graded on how quickly you do the mission, how little damage you take, and the combos you do.

** Several of the characters look like Expies of characters from Platinum's previous game ''VideoGame/ViewtifulJoe'', formerly working with {{Capcom}} as Clover Studio.

* TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything:
** Notice how every time Wonder-Red rouses the team ("Team! Unite Up!" or the like), Wonder-Blue is the only one not to salute and say "Roger!". Blue openly opposes Red's leadership style since Red is a newbie and is too diplomatic for his own good. [[spoiler:Some people think this is a programming oversight, but this continues until Operation 006-B; after he learns of Red's past, Blue finally accepts Red's leadership and begins to salute with the rest of the team.]]
** As the game progresses, the "Roger!" becomes more synchronized until they're in perfect unison to reflect how much the team has grown together.
** There are little extra visual details in stages that can easily be overlooked. Cars, for example, will have their alarms and headlights turned on briefly when struck.
** Subverted (arguably) with the Kahkoo-Regahs (gimmick-based secret missions similar to ''Franchise/{{Bayonetta}}'''s Alfheims and Muspelheims). If you fail the challenge and choose to retry from the failure screen, it's counted as a continue in the Operation Results. However, if you choose not to retry, you spawn back into the level and can try again with no penalty.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Red delivers one to [[spoiler:Vorkken after their last fight]]: [[spoiler:"You think power will bring happiness to those you loved. That's what you're doing, isn't it? Powering up, so you can take revenge. And you don't care who else has to suffer so you can have it! But who would that revenge serve? Your heart is a black hole now, feeding on hate, just like the GEATHJERK... no, you're worse than the invaders. You've trampled the good that you should have been fighting for, thrown away the pride, the honor of your home, all for nothing!"]]

* GiantEnemyCrab: The Deah-Kani enemy type, based somewhat on the Japanese Spider Crab. Yes, you AttackItsWeakPoint ForMassiveDamage, by cutting off its legs to bring it to the ground and stun it, and pry open its shell using Unite Claw in order to expose the weak point. It's the only way to do any real damage to it most of the time, even.

* ImprovisedLightningRod: A puzzle in Operation 003-A requires you to charge Unite Sword with lightning from a thunderstorm then recharge a generator. You can also use Unite Sword to prevent damage from any electric attack (which leaves it charged for extra damage).
