** Ajax, of course. He's the most hotheaded individual in the whole gang and can be very effective at getting himself into major trouble, although in the game's most blatant case (barring the park incident that was also in the movie, of course) it wasn't ''entirely'' his fault. In the level that depicts his and Snow's first night as members of the gang, they intrude on Destroyers turf at Ajax's insistence (albeit not to fight, at least at first), get pelted with bricks and bottles in an ambush, have their trademark jackets stolen, and wind up having to take on the Destroyers' entire roster (except for Virgil) to get their "colors" back. It's initially a subversion, as Ajax and Snow manage to decimate the Destroyers' main leadership; Ajax even gets to hook up with LC's girlfriend. But then, as they're heading back to West Coney later on, the girl appears on the fire escape above the street - [[{{Fanservice}} in her underwear]] - and loudly bids goodbye to Ajax, attracting the attention of a ''very'' large and ''very'' angry contingent of Destroyers who [[ChasedByAngryNatives chase Ajax and Snow down the entire length of the boardwalk]]. If you happen to reach the end in 2 player mode, the players will be forced to fight each other to the death to see who takes the girl home, just like in ''VideoGame/DoubleDragon''. ''The Warriors'' is a video game based on the CultClassic [[Film/TheWarriors movie of the same title]], developed by RockstarGames and released in 2005. * AdaptationExpansion: The video game includes the entire plot of the film, but the game also adds a backstory to the foundation of the gang and the time leading up to the fateful night. Also, a number of gangs that didn't appear in the movie, such as the Savage Huns, make an appearance in the game.

'''''The Warriors''''' is a video game based on the CultClassic [[Film/TheWarriors movie of the same title]], developed by RockstarGames and released in 2005. The storyline acts as both a prequel and a recreation of the film. Apart from a few platforming challenges, it controls like an arcade BeatEmUp, and it is one of few successful examples of the genre in 3D.

* MoneyForNothing: Averted. You'll need every last dollar if you want to purchase flash or weapons and some missions will require you to pay an NPC to advance in the level. Luckily you can never be in an unwinnable situation if money is required since there'll always be civilians you can mug (and new ones will spawn in eventually), but unless you get lucky and mug someone that has a ton of cash, prepare to do some grinding.

* {{Counterattack}}: Putting yourself in a blocking stance may sometimes have your character duck to avoid the attack. Pressing the attack button at the right time afterwards will cause a counterattack, which also helps you score more points.

* GangUpOnTheHuman: Averted. Enemy gangs will tend to go after your gang equally unless they're overwhelmed or you in a level where you only have one ally helping you. The police will also go after both your gang and enemy gangs rather than gang up on you.

* InterfaceScrew: Getting maced will cause the screen to be blurry for a while, making it difficult to see where everything is.

* RingOutBoss: Chatterbox will die instantly when stuck by the funhouse's roller coaster. However, you only get points for whittling his health down normally, which is really tough.

* TheUnfought: Sanchez is hunted down by the Warriors due to him owing them money. He taunts them at every turn and sends the Hurricanes after them. By the time you do reach Sanchez and corner him, he accidentally offs himself in a cutscene by falling off a roof.

* DemotedToExtra: Mercy's role in the game is far smaller and less significant than in the movie. As her subplot with Swan is removed in the game, she barely does anything throughout her time in the game.

* DressingAsTheEnemy: In Cochise's flashback mission, the doorman at the pool hall will ask for a hefty amount of cash to allow Cochise and Snow in, and while cash can be obtained by mugging the many civilians or robbing a couple of stores, cops are quick to appear in this level. Paying the doorman can be avoided, however, by taking and wearing a hat from any member of the Boppers. The doorman will confuse Cochise for a member of the Boppers and will allow him and Snow to enter without needing to pay (and letting you keep that cash for much needed flash for the boss fight).

Could Have Avoided This Plot requires it be acknowledged in-universe.

* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: When an early Tutorial mission tasks Rembrandt with spraying a Warriors burner over the Destroyers HQ, Ajax ditches the party for a short period to attend to some unseen business. When the mission concludes, we see he had snuck into the Destroyers base while the entire gang was passed out from partying, and sprayed a red W (for Warriors) onto the leader of the gang's back. If Ajax had instead, say, killed the leader (and his lieutenants for good measure) in his sleep, the Destroyers probably would have disbanded and leave the Warriors in control of all of Coney Island, and avoid a handful of deaths and a full on war between the gangs down the line. Sure, he's part of a gang called [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy The Warriors]], so HonorBeforeReason might play a part in things, but it still would have saved a lot of trouble and been [[KickTheDog totally in character for Ajax to have done.]]
** When you, as Cleon, speak to Ajax in the hangout right after that mission, Ajax says "I wish you would've let me finish them". Cleon had tasked Rembrandt to tag all over Destroyer turf as payback for the Destroyers tagging the Warriors hangout, and thus he likely didn't order Virgil to be killed (seen especially as it's Vermin who suggests putting the burner on the Destroyers hangout during the mission), and the others to serve as muscle to protect Rembrandt. He likely did not want any deaths to prevent any unexpected retaliation, once again seen during hangout chatter after "Destroyed", where Vermin says that the Warriors had never murdered any Destroyers. This, however, creates confusion when Ajax kills Sanchez later on, since we never see Cleon give such an order.

* DoomedByCanon: Because the game eventually takes place at the same time that the movie does, several major characters are still destined to bite the dust. [[spoiler: Cleon is killed by the Riffs after being falsely accused of killing their leader, Cyrus. Fox is also killed when he wrestles with a cop in a subway station and is tossed towards an oncoming train. Ajax is arrested for attempted rape on an undercover cop and is likely spending the rest of his time in jail.]]

Moved Trivia to its own page.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Possibly. In the arena mode, two of the stages are at the graveyard the Warriors regroup at after Cyrus is shot. They are the only stages not present in the actual levels. In one mission you can overhear a conversation between a group of Jones Street Boys, and sometimes they'll talk about a time The Warriors screwed them over in the graveyard, which is mentioned no where else in the game. It seems that at least one additional level was planned, but scrapped for whatever reason.
** A spiritual sequel (unrelated to the film) was planned by Rockstar. The game was to be titled ''We Are The Mods'' and was to be set in 1960s England during the mods and rockers brawls.
