Seems like a great plan... if not for the fact that Dreikreuz crew happens to consist of multiple characters more than capable of defending themselves without their mechas. The MagicKnight trio are capable of fending for themselves, especially as a team (since they receive their Rune Gods near the end of the first season) along with Lantis' support. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, as [[BadassNormal The Protaganist, Ryoma, Koji, Tetsuya, Hyoma, Emrys, Max]], [[PsychicPowers Amuro]], [[PoweredArmor Kaidoh, Mamoru, Guy]], [[MagiTek Ernie, Kid, Addy]], [[MasterSwordsman Daba, Van, Ogami, Sakurai, Gemini, Taiga]], [[GunsAkimbo Erica]], [[TheStrategist Lelouch]] and the [[Manga/{{Ultraman}} Ultraman trio]] (who's armors are human sized, letting them fight at full power) all make quick work of the mooks.

** The Huckebein 30's Twin Photon Rifle bears an uncanny resemblance to the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing Twin Buster Rifle]].

* AscendedMeme: Done through an invoked {{Woolseyism}}, but during the DLC scenario "The Lights of Amuro's Life", Beltorchika says that Amuro needs a new source of strength, which Chan wonders if she means a new Mobile Suit or herself, only for Beltorchika with the "Why not both?" meme [[https://i.imgur.com/rSaT9vn.png as though it were an old saying]]. In its original Spanish no less.

* HeelRealization: Downplayed, but [[Anime/MajesticPrince Kei]] finally realizes just how bad her cakes are due to the fact that Van, with his horrifyingly skewed taste buds, eats her cake '''without''' any condiments.

** Technically there isn't any proof it doesn't apply to the source, but there's really nothing in ''Anime/GunXSword'' to suggest that the Claw would be able to NoSell a [[Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheResurrection Geass]].

* DidntThinkThisThrough: In one DLC mission, Yuta asks Mamoru for help in inspiring the Brave Police. Mamoru tells them they should get inspiration from their predecessors in the old GGG. However, his advice ultimately boiled down to having them imitate members of the old GGG based on superficial similarities, causing the Brave Police to start acting OOC (Gunmax, especially, was utterly humiliated at the idea he should be like Mic Sounders the 13th). In the end, Mamoru has to apologize and tell them to just be themselves again.

** Koji, Ryoma, Hayato and Musashi all fought in the One Year War aboard the White Base and are old friends of Amuro and Bright.
** Similarly, [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam the AEUG]] and [[Anime/CodeGeass the Black Knights]] fought together against the Titans, who were under the thumb of Britannia. The likes of Kallen, Kamille, and Fa having been comrades in arms ever since then.

** Also like in previous titles, the pre-battle exchanges a specific character can have, such as when fighting a boss character, might be the polar opposite of their in-battle dialogue. An infamous example involves both [[VideoGame/SakuraWars Ogami]] and [[Characters/MasouKishin Masaki]] against [[spoiler:[[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Zagato]]. The pre-battle dialogue has both of them seemingly deduce that Zagato isn't as evil as the team was led to be believe. This is in stark contrast to their special in-battle dialogue for him, which portrays them as fully on-board with seeing him as a vile villain.]]

** Keita has an in-battle line referencing how Chandi gave him Kakuseijin V2, even though 1. Ryoma gave it to him in this version ofthe events, and 2. Chandi never shows up during the entire story.

** Dialogue from Gilliam's recruitment missions suggest that Gilliam was pulled from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars4'', mentioning the Guest and that he was part of the A.E.U.G.. This is further backed by the Gespenst used by Gilliam, which is just referred to as "Gespenst" with no other titles and only armed with Split Missiles, Neutron Beam, Plasma Cutter and Slash Ripper.

Just so we're clear: the "''30''" in the game's title is because [[MilestoneCelebration it was made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of]] ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars''. [[JustForFun/IThoughtItMeant It is not]] [[NumberedSequel the 30th entry in the series]][[labelnote:In case you're curious...]]Counting updated ports and {{Video Game Remake}}s, it's actually ''[[LongRunners the 64th.]]'' Unfortunately that was [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars64 already taken.]] [[/labelnote]].

* SmallNameBigEgo: [[Anime/HeavyMetalLGaim Giwaza]], due to AlwaysABiggerFish being in ''heavy'' effect here. While in his home series, a relatively grounded RealRobotGenre series, his duplicitous scheming and backstabbing nature made him part of the BigBadDuumvirate, here among villains from ''far'' more brutal Real Robot series, SuperRobotGenre villains and ''universe scale'' threats like [[Literature/KingOfKingsGaogaigarVSBetterman Triple Zero]] and [[spoiler: The Quaestors]] he's pathetically low on the totem pole of danger. This ''does not'' stop him from acting like he's the main threat to the Dreikreuz and that his victory is assured. The fact that he surrounds himself with ass-kissing [[YesMan minions]] doesn't help him.

* GameBreakingBug: On the stage "To a Future Filled With Light", attacking [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Debonair]] with [[Manga/GetterRoboDevolution Shin Getter Robo]] instantly causes a game over for no discernable reason.

** Sanger Zonvolt and Erica Fontaine reference a moment from Project X Zone, where Erica shouts "CHESTO!" and Sanger responds by stating that the most important thing about it is to put your spirit into it. (The versions of Sanger and Erica are not the same ones here, as the Sanger from this game is from Super Robot Wars Alpha. Meanwhile, the Sanger in Project X Zone is from the OG universe, with Erica being from an alternate Project X Zone Earth.

** The Wulgaru had a run-in with the Invaders, who eventually got bored with them once they realized that the Wulgaru were a dying race. The Wulgaru then began to track the Invaders' movement to locate the intelligent life they planted across outer space, with Earth's victory against the Invaders directly resulting in the Wulgaru attacking the Earth Sphere in hopes of harvesting humankind's genetic material.
*** The Wulgaru seeding numerous planets with life is also implied to be responsible for most if not all of the other HumanAliens that show up, such as the [[Anime/HeavyMetalLGaim Pentagonians]] and [[Anime/CombattlerV Campbellians]].

** Due to the changes listed under DemotedToExtra, the [[Literature/KingOfKingsGaoGaiGarVsBetterman Gutsy Galaxy Guard's Super AI robots]] don't get their Ruin versions in ''30''. Even worse, however, are their successors from the Gutsy Global Guard, who aren't even mentioned as existing here.

* AllYourPowersCombined: The Huckebein 30 and its upgrade combine traits of virtually every previous Huckebein[[note]]The base body and Black Hole Gun are those of the original Huckebein, the basic arsenal is that of the Mark 2, the Graviton Rifle is the signature weapon of the Mark 3, the 30's damaged state is based off the Exbein Ashe, the 30th's Full Impact Black Hole Cannon is based off the Mark 3 Gunner pack's Full Impact Cannon, and the 30th's silhouette is based off the Exexbein[[/note]].
