Added DiffLines:

* GameplayAndStorySegregation: [[NewGamePlus Extra Mode]] changes the dialogue between characters and raises the difficulty, but retains the same levels and animations as the main game. This means that [[spoiler:despite the main game ending with Dragaux being freed from the dark influence and promising to rebuild the Dragaux Stadiums, the Dragaux Stadium levels in Extra Mode are still ruined, Dragaux is surrounded by the aura of the dark influence, and Ring and Dragaux give each other a DeathGlare before your first battle (or rather, "training") with him.]]

Creator/{{Nintendo}} has been no stranger to {{exergaming}}. In 1987, they distributed the originally Bandai-published game ''World Class Track Meet'' for the UsefulNotes/NintendoEntertainmentSystem in the West, which was controlled entirely with a pad called the Power Pad. A more recent and far more successful example was ''VideoGame/WiiFit'' for the UsefulNotes/{{Wii}} in 2007. On September 6, 2019 Nintendo announced they were coming back around to that concept by teasing some new accessories for the UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch in a new teaser video. On September 12, 2019 that concept was revealed in full with the new game ''Ring Fit Adventure'' which would release worldwide on October 18, 2019.

* HiddenDepths: Honey is more or less fluent in [[RoboSpeak Binarese,]] the robot language you encounter in World 19. It's very valuable for the expanding robot demographic after all. (When you obtain clothing that lets you understand the language, Binarese is pretty much like UsefulNotes/JavaScript.)

else, even when he gets his ass kicked countless times by you.

Added DiffLines:

* HardModePerks: The game gives you more EXP for doing exercises the higher the difficulty it's set on. Naturally, this means the highest difficulty (30) gives the most EXP.

Added DiffLines:

* NumericalHard: Increasing the difficulty increases the number of reps you do in battle (though the damage output is the same across all difficulties), and also increases how long you hold each rep.

Added DiffLines:

* CriticalAnnoyance: When you're running low on health, Ring will exclaim, "Careful! You don't have many hearts left!" every turn until you heal yourself. This is especially bad in the first two worlds, when you don't have any way to heal yourself except the occasional health pickup in the overworld.

Added DiffLines:

* BrokenAesop: A minor example is that the game will periodically advise that taking days off to recover rather than exercising every day is a healthy approach. At the same time, the game will reward the player with titles for playing up to 10 consecutive days.

Added DiffLines:

* FlintstoneTheming: Everything in the game is themed around exercise, exercise equipment, and fitness concepts in general. Your partner, Ring, is a sentient pilates ring, and your ArchEnemy Dragaux is a JerkJock in a leotard. Enemies are hybrids of animals and exercise equipment, like the Matta Ray (a manta ray crossed with a yoga mat), Kennelbells (dogs crossed with kettlebell weights), and Puffersquish (pufferfish-like yoga balls). Treasure chests are kept secure with a heavy barbell, and coins resemble golden barbell weights. One of the level themes is a factory-like EternalEngine but with exercise machines lifting weights and conveyor belts running in perpetuity. Your armor takes the form of sneakers, sweatbands, and moisture-wicking t-shirts, while your potions are replaced with various healthy-eating foodstuffs like juices and homemade fruit soda. The elements are represented with various forms of exercise (Arms/chest, abs, glutes/legs, and yoga).

Game Gourmet was disambiguated. Moved example to Cooking Mechanics.

* CookingMechanics: The player can procure and prepare a wide variety of smoothies -- a NonIndicativeName that also covers a wide variety of liquid food such as juice, soda, tea, soup, and pudding. Notably, much of the smoothie lineup consists of typical healthy drinks; the equivalent of a low-level healing potion, for instance, is a Spinach Smoothie.

The ingredients used to make smoothies are also edible, though typically to far less effect than if they were prepared beforehand. Misuse: requires teams and classical elements

* FourElementEnsemble: Played with; the player's moves are classified into different exercise types -- arms, legs and thighs, core (torso), and yoga. Enemies are more vulnerable to certain types, so using the correct exercise for each encounter is a key skill.
