* EvolvingCredits: [[spoilers: Once the worlds are saved, the game's end credits can be replayed. All Pokémon you did not yet befriend assume the form of black silhouettes.]]

* SurpriseCreepy: Some of the scenes in [=PokéPark=] 2 are actually pretty creepy. [[spoiler: The fact that the main villain nearly pulls an EndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt is only ''one'' of the surprisingly disturbing things in this game. Then there's Pikachu being pushed past the DespairEventHorizon after all his friends have their memories wiped and no longer remember him.]]
* TomboyPrincess: Snivy takes on this role in the game. Serperior [[spoiler: assumes the role of queen of the Arbor Area and is Snivy's mom.]]

* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler: Darkrai]].

** The same applies to Beartic as well.

* AmbiguouslyGay: Chandelure. At the very least, he seems more feminine than everybody else, with his love of dazzling decorations and his over-the-top nature.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: Piplup is the only supporting character from ''Pikachu's Adventure'' that returns, and has a more prominent role.
** Not that he wasn't prominent in the first one, as well as his entire evolutionary chain.

* LittleMissSnarker: Snivy is quite possibly one of the most snarkiest Pokemon in the franchise so far. Given half the mons she has to deal with though, it's rather understandable. [[DefrostingIceQueen She does end up warming up to the main group over the course of the adventure, though.]]

* LovableCoward: Tepig, also a CowardlyLion.

** The minigames as well. There are only 4 minigames, and while they do allow for co-operative play (after you unlock them) there are only 5 characters to choose from (unlike Pokepark, where every Pokemon you befriend can be played in one minigame or another). It doesn't help that in the story mode [[AbilityRequiredToProceed there's only one Pokemon you can play as that will be allowed a high enough score to beat the minigame, regardless of how well you do with the others]].

* ObviouslyEvil: The vast majority of the Pokémon working at Wish Park are Dark-Type Pokémon- Cofagrigus, Yamask, Chandelure, Litwick, Lampent, Hydregon, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle, and [[spoiler: Darkrai]]. The only two that aren’t are Haxorus and Sigilyph, but they’re still intimidating enough to count.

* FlippingHelpless: If your charge into Turtwig in the first zone (with minigames) at the beginning of the game, it will be flipped onto its back for a few seconds before flipping back over.

* PartyGame: Not including the main campaign, PokéPark is notable for how many games it has. [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot Too bad the first game is single-player only,]] [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter and the second game only has 4 playable characters with 4 games in total.]]

* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: To the other Pokémon: you can use your moves on them and watch them get hurt out of battle. Or, if you're feeling especially cruel, targeting bystander Pokémon while ''in'' battle with Iron Tail, or putting them into your opponent's line of fire.
** There are several Pokémon, like Buneary and Pachirisu, who you can send flying several feet just by running into them.
** VideoGameCrueltyPunishment: Of course, some of the larger ones fight back...

* IdleAnimation: Pikachu has a few in the original that play if he's standing in certain zones or near certain Pokémon. He'll also fall asleep after a while. {{Justified|Trope}} in ''Wonders Beyond'', [[spoiler:as this is how you befriend Munna]].

** There's a Tyranitar that mocks the game's premise in the Granite zone.

* DevelopersForesight: Averted. The two pillars in the Cake Zone that [[spoiler:Darkrai's]] giant hands break in the cutscene where you escape even if you go there before that happens.

* SweetDreamsFuel: The four different sections of Wish Park.

The "[[VideoGame/HeyYouPikachu cute]] [[VideoGame/PokemonChannel Pikachu]]" Franchise/{{Pokemon}} spinoff series for the UsefulNotes/{{Wii}}, and perhaps the one with the highest production values: instead of being a virtual pet, it's more of an action/adventure game for kids.

* BadassPrincess: Snivy, the princess of the Arbor Area, is a competent battler and part of the [[FiveManBand 5-Man Band]] that [[spoiler:saves the Pokepark from [[BigBad Darkrai]]]].

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Participating in Wish Park's attractions has this effect on the [=PokéPark=] Pokémon. It's also implied [[TheDragon Gothitelle]] can do this to Pokémon directly.

* FightingYourFriend: [[spoiler:Pikachu is forced to battle a brainwashed Piplup.]]
