Why is this still here?

%%* UnexpectedCharacter:
%%** Considering that these games have featured mainly the most important characters from the series, Nabbit's appearance in ''Rio'' came as a bit of a surprise.
%%*** Similarly, Zazz and Zavok from ''VideoGame/SonicLostWorld''.
%%** Same goes for the Boom Booms that have joined your team in ''Rio'', though to be fair, they've been around since the NES era.
%%** Jet and Wave could qualify, as they've only been highly featured in the VideoGame/SonicRiders spinoffs.
%%** Possibly the most extreme case on the Sonic side is Sticks, who previously only appeared in ''WesternAnimation/SonicBoom'', which is an alternate continuity of the Sonic series.
%%** Perhaps an instance where the unexpectedness is a ''lack'' of characters, four of the seven Koopalings have been shown, with Morton, Iggy, and Lemmy nowhere to be seen, making this one of the [[VideoGame/MarioIsMissing few]] times the Koopalings don't all show up.
