* SpellMyNameWithAnS:
** The official source likes to change things around just when we've gotten used to the old spellings. ''Elsior'' was fine, it was around for a few games, but then all of a sudden, it's called the ''Elle Ciel'' instead, which doesn't even match the katakana. Also, many of the food-based names purposely misspell the food, like Milfeulle [millefeuille].
** Because the games have never been released in English, there are also a few terms with no consistent romanization at all. [[spoiler:Are the aliens from the [=GA1=] expansions the Val-Fasq, the Valfasc, the Varu Fasuku? Somewhere in between? No one is certain, and various spellings are even used on this very page.]]

** Luft Weizen does it ''twice'' in the first game. First in Chapter 5, when his fleet shows up to save the Elsior as it tries to escape an ambush, and later during the final chapter, attacking the Black Moon's engines to slow it down as the Elsior gets in Range to save the Chrono Break cannon.

There is also a manga series. ''Galaxy Angel'' was based on the first game and ''Galaxy Angel Beta'' was based on ''Galaxy Angel: Moonlit Lovers''.

** Ranpha has it when, after a misunderstanding makes her think Tact isn't interested in her, she locks up in her room to cry. Tact goes off to find the diary she gave him before, and when he can write his feelings he proceeds to tell Ranpha all the things he likes about her and declare out loud that he loves her.

* GoodColorsEvilColors: The Transbaal Military uniform is composed of White and Black in equal amounts as well as a bit of Gold. The Angels, [[CustomUniform in particular]], got one extra color each: Pink for Milfeulle, Cheery Red for Ranpha, Blue for Mint, Natural Green for Vanilla and Purple for Forte (this one is a surbversion since Forte is certainly not evil but rather more mature). Takuto, as the commander, also gets some Blue and Cheery Red. Finally, their battleships are mostly White with some Blue, Gold and Natural Greens. The White Moon is mostly White with some Gold and the Angel Frames reflect their pilot's colors. As for the bad guys, there's Eonia and Sherry whom dress in Black and Purple. The Hell Hounds get Black, Bloody Red, Unnatural Green, Purple, Silver and Dark Blue. All of their ships are Black with Bloody Red or Purple. And finally, there's the Black Moon which is mostly Black with some Bloody Red. [[spoiler:And really finally, there are the Val-Fasq, who use varying shades of Unearthly Purple & Violet and explode ''green''. Even their hair and skin is varying purple/violet shades, usually very pale in their skin.]]

* EnemyDetectingRadar: Mint's Trick Master has been stated to have been equipped with more powerful radars than other Frames. Coco, the Elsior's radar technician, also frequently warns about enemies appearing both outside of game battles and in them. Tapio takes Coco's position when the latter [[spoiler:becomes commander of the Luxiole.]]

* FirstBigChoice: Due to the lack of OldSaveBonus, Moonlit Lovers and Eternal Lovers start out with the player picking which of the Angels is Tact's love interest.

* FunWithAcronyms: The [[CoolShip Emblem Frames]] piloted by the Angels are different from other ships in that each one possesses a '''H'''uman Brain '''A'''rtificial Brain '''L'''inking '''O'''rganization System or H.A.L.O. for short. The Holy Blood doesn't have one, instead having the on-board AI take its place.
