* ObviousBeta: There's a ton of lazy development quirks that almost make the game unplayable. Unresponsive controls, an unfinished battle system, and an unintuitive control scheme that even the veteran ''Smash'' player finds hard to get used to. There's also a quite infamous bug that [[UnwinnableByMistake freezes the game during one of the final levels]]. Granted, there are ways to bypass this bug (many people did it just by sheer luck) but it's still a problem that makes the game a textbook example of ObviousBeta.

* EleventhHourRanger: Captain Planet joins the party at the very end of the story mode, saving everyone from the final boss. This may or may not be a reference to the Subspace Emissary in SuperSmashBrosBrawl, where that game's GuestFighter SonicTheHedgehog saved everyone else from the final boss at the end.

** KOing an opponent in Arcade Mode on the ''Ben 10'' city stage right when you're transported to the alien dimension will leave you unable to finish the level. You can jump off the platforms, but you'll fall forever. You'll have to quit out of the level.

* GangUpOnTheHuman: During the 1 Vs. 3 level of Arcade mode, the computer players will all team up against the player character.

** Bubbles has a lot of [[FragileSpeedster fast attacks in the game, and is one of the few characters that can jump more than once, but she is the WEAKEST character in the game (the weakest of her sisters), with only two potential KO attacks]] (three counting her [[BeamSpam PTE]]), and has the lowest range in the game. Her speed and combos are basically her asset.
