* AdaptationalBadass: Though not to nearly the same extent as DigDug most of the characters that appear in NamcoXCapcom. Averted in the Webcomic as it sticks to the game's comedy root albeit trading the surreal humour for self-referential humour.

** Dr. Bomb's fortress bears a striking resemblance to Dr. Wily's fortress in MegaMan2.

** Bravowoman and her story arc

** In Waya Gaiden [[spoiler:Valkyrie's appearance foreshadowed guest artist Ashley Davis taking over her comic a few months later.]].
* EyepatchAfterTimeskip: Sort of -- it's an alternate universe rather than the future or even a BadFuture. Even so, in it Waya-Hime has an eyepatch, and both Brave Man and Bravo Woman have the equivalent for their visors.
* FriendlyEnemy: Bravoman is this to Anti-Bravoman, much to Anti-Bravoman's annoyance when he's trying to be serious. Doesn't stop him from being a jerk to him every now and then.

** He reacts to questions about Reverse Anti-Bravo with shock and avoidance.

* {{Stripperiffic}}: As a nod to the DLC feature in ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}} Tag Tournament 2'', Bravoman attempts to unlock the bikini DLC pack for his characters in "Bravo Fighters 2", only to be stopped by Alpha Man.

* {{Tsundere}}: Invoked; Alpha describes Waya-Hime as one, though her murderous nature is a little more {{Yandere}} or even {{Yangire}}.

* PerfectlyCromulentWord: "Is it riveting?" "The rivitiest!"

* Grand Finale: The season finale was a huge parody of this as Bravoman and Alpha worried that the show would end for real, so they went a huge adventure featuring time travel and a big reveal for Antibravoman, it ended with a tear jerking moment where Bravoman plays the original game one last time. Though with the end of Bravoman the webcomic the series really is over.

* ThatsAllFolks: The last of the webcomic has Bravoman and all the characters (as well as the readers) getting a thank you card from the creators for sticking with them for the entirety of the run. Compared to the other comics of Shiftylook (which either ended abruptly or stopped in the middle of their storylines) this series was one of the few to a have a conclusive ending.

* ManChild: Anti-Bravoman, as he collects and plays with toys based of Bravoman, plus his mopping and the fact he lives [[spoiler:with his father/creator Dr. Bomb]]. To a lesser extent Bravoman, who'd rather be playing videogames than risking his butt.

*** After Bravoman's transformation sequence he pulls SailorMoon's famous peace sign pose.

** Similarly [[MakessenseInContext when Waya is picking out weapons for the groomsmen to wield at her wedding]], the choice is between Sais and a Bo Staff, the weapons of both Ninja Turtles that Rob Paulsen has voiced. Alpha Man picks [[TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2012 Bo staffs as they are so in]].

* DistressedDamsel: Waya-Hime during the visit to Pistol Daimyo's dojo.
** DistressedDude: Alpha Man ends up there too...

* ReadingsAreOffTheScale: As a reference to the popular ''Manga/DragonBallZ'' meme: Bravoman powers up and Waya Hime and Anti-Bravoman are shocked at Bravoman's power readings.

* ActorAllusion: In the season finale, Bravoman gets fanmail from "Megafan1987" who tells him he's "cool but rude". This was [[Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles Raphael]]'s description from the intro of the ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987'' cartoon, who Creator/RobPaulsen also voiced.
