''Angry Birds Transformers'' is a 2014 mobile game and another spinoff of ''VideoGame/AngryBirds'', putting a new spin on the game's concept in the same vein as ''VideoGame/AngryBirdsGo'' and ''VideoGame/AngryBirdsEpic''. It's essentially a RailShooter starring the Angry Birds and Bad Piggies cosplaying as Franchise/{{Transformers}}, specifically the Autobirds and Deceptihogs. The ExcusePlot is that the Eggspark has fallen to Earth, turning the Eggs into Eggbots which then turn anything they shoot into [[UnwillingRoboticisation mechanical lifeforms]]. Thus, the Autobirds and Deceptihogs have teamed up to stop the Eggbots from taking over Piggy Island. Each level has a specific Transformer attached to it who moves through the level, taking out Pigbots (essentially Bad Piggies converted into {{mook}}s by the Eggbots) and structures while being shot at. Each Transformer has a different weapon, alt-mode (used to dodge falling towers and some weapons) and Energon ability (either a shield, an EMP stunner, or an air strike), which can only be used after collecting energon cubes. Players can also summon an ally, who will tag along for a few seconds shooting everything in sight.

Players can also summon an ally, who will tag along for a few seconds shooting everything in sight.

On the world map, players can play a stage if it's been affected by the Eggbots, or they'll gradually generate coins if the stage hasn't been affected. The Eggbots can attack any stage controlled by the player. Once the player reaches certain levels, they can explore new areas, revealing new Transformers to unlock.

* AdvertisedExtra: Stella as Arcee is in the loading screen and promotional artwork, but wasn't in the game at launch.

* BalefulPolymorph: The missiles which launch from the background will turn your Transformer into a washing machine for 5 seconds. It doesn't harm you, but it does slow you down greatly as you bounce along, making you a sitting duck for enemy fire and falling columns. There's also a bonus achievement you can pick up if, in a Deceptihog level, you board Astrotrain at the end of the level while in this form.
* BreathWeapon: Hal (as Grimlock) shoots a beam from his mouth that stays on the target until it's destroyed.

* DeathFromAbove: Heatwave and Sentinel Prime both fire their weapons up, which causes a beam of light to come down and hit enemies.
* {{EMP}}: The EMP Stunner ability.

to:

* DeathFromAbove: DastardlyWhiplash: The Chef Pig, as both forms of Soundwave and as Soundblaster. He twirls his mustache (even while running) and has a sneaky posture when laughing in his stat screen.
* DeathFromAbove:
**
Heatwave and Sentinel Prime both fire their Prime's weapons up, which causes a beam of light to come shoot high into the air and then drop down on the target. The difference is that Sentinel's attack has three beams to Heatwave's one and hit enemies.
takes slightly less time to recharge.
** The Energon Airstrike special weapon calls in Skywarp to do a bomb/missile attack.
** Explosive-laden pigbots will drop in on balloons in some levels.
** The walking mortar towers launch large flaming rocks that you need to transform and drive/fly away from to have a hope of dodging.
* {{Deflector Shield|s}}: The Energon Shield protects you from harm for 5 to 10 seconds depending on whether you've picked up 1 or 2 energon cubes to power it.
* {{EMP}}: The Energon EMP Stunner ability.Stunner, which fries missiles and airborne enemies and stuns stationary pigbots.

* HandshakeRefusal: In the screen where the player character has the option to thank the buddy, if they were different factions, whichever was the buddy will pull a "sike!" on the player character when he tries to slap him five, then try to play it off as a joke, only to be shoved off-screen by the player character.
* JackOfAllStats: Red as Ultra Magnus. His stat maximums are evenly matched and his weapon and speed are pretty average in comparison to the other Transformers. Red as Optimus Prime was intended to be this, but his slower weapon speed and slower stat growths make him the MasterOfNone.
* LightningBruiser: The King Pig as Bludgeon. While his stat maximums are evenly matched like Red's, his weapon is a fast-shooting SpreadShot which is much more effective than most other Transformers' weapons, and he has above-average speed both on foot (so to speak) and in tank mode.

* MightyGlacier: Heatwave and Sentinel Prime. Both slow (even in vehicle mode), but they can take a lot of punishment and their attacks are pretty much a OneHitKO on any pig.

to:

* MightyGlacier: Terence as both Heatwave and Sentinel Prime. Both slow (even He's by far the slowest walker (and not much faster in vehicle mode), making him vulnerable to swarms of flying pigbots and massed shooting from pigbots on towers, but they his armor is his strongest stat so he can take the punishment. Also, his laser attack takes a lot of punishment and their attacks are pretty much a OneHitKO on any pig. long time to charge, but it's extremely powerful.

* RailShooter: In this case, the rail is the course layout. The only control the player has on the course is turning into vehicle mode, which makes him go slightly faster.

* TheStarscream: Ironically enough, not Minion Pig as Starscream, but Chef Pig as Soundwave. He's constantly scheming behind King Pig's back.

* ShowsDamage: The Transformer picks up electrical crackles around him as he drops in health. Once he reaches one heart he starts giving off smoke and flames and the screen starts showing static and distortion.

!!This game contains examples of:
* AntiAir: The EMP Stunner. It stuns regular enemies, but it's a OHKO against flying enemies or missiles. For a bird/pig with a slow weapon that can't hit missiles, this is a godsend.
* BossInMookClothing: Some piggies may be carrying a weapon that does obscene damage, but they'll look nigh-identical to a regular piggy.
* BribingYourWayToVictory: It's an ''Angry Birds'' game. You can either wait long amounts of time for things to recharge or finish, or buy some crystals and use them to instantly finish.
* {{Cooldown}}: How often you summon an ally is dependent on a cooldown meter.
* DeathFromAbove: Heatwave and Sentinel Prime both fire their weapons up, which causes a beam of light to come down and hit enemies.
* {{EMP}}: The EMP Stunner ability.
* EnemyMine: The birds and the pigs have forced to team up to fight the Eggbots.
* MasterOfNone: Red as Optimus Prime is going for a StandardizedLeader or JackOfAllStats thing, but he's basically worthless.
* MerchandiseDriven: It's the lovechild of two MerchandiseDriven franchises. Jenga in particular seems to be created to capitalize on the game, being an older game updated to match a newer game that's been modified to fit an older franchise.
* MightyGlacier: Heatwave and Sentinel Prime. Both slow (even in vehicle mode), but they can take a lot of punishment and their attacks are pretty much a OneHitKO on any pig.
* MultiShot: Bludgeon, Sentinel Prime, and Soundblaster all fire three blasts.
* MythologyGag: The loading screen displays random tongue-in-cheek references to either ''Transformers'' or ''Angry Birds'' (such as "[[RhymesOnADime Rhyming with Wheelie]]" or "Unlocking Lockdown").
* PaletteSwap: All characters have reskins or plain palette swaps, usually with a different or upgraded weapon.
* SchizophrenicDifficulty: The levels all have a listed difficulty that has almost no bearing on its actual difficulty. A "Very Easy" level might have the BossInMookClothing that can destroy the player in two hits, whereas a Hard level might just be filled with {{mooks}} that do nothing but shower the player in coins.
* TheStarscream: Ironically enough, not Minion Pig as Starscream, but Chef Pig as Soundwave. He's constantly scheming behind King Pig's back.
